How long does it take for Google to review

...a site. I had a ton of sites up under one domain name and when I was hacked google reported that it was an attack site. It was apparent that I was hacked because many of the sites that were in php did not work at all anymore...the SQL was screwed up on them. My host told me that I must have been hacked and to download all of the sites and go through them. I did this and went through many of them and found nothing wrong...so I did not go through all of them. I just decided to put up new sites.

I notified google via my google account today to review the domain and new sites. I have not recieved any response yet and did not expect it to be done in one days time.

How long does it take for google to actually do a review and do they notify you via email the results of the review or does one have to check your google account daily to see what the results are?

I did in fact do a google search. The link you posted indicates that Google emails webmasters when something is found wrong on their site. The way I found out about my sites was via fire fox which I seldom use. It gave me a warning that the domain is an attack site. When I checked my google account it said that it was found to be an attack site 4 times over the past 90 days the last time being this month. I was never notified by Google of any problems ever.

Anyhow I really do not expect them to respond quickly...if at all. I suspect that I will have to get a new domain name. Either way I have basically lost several years of work and basically starting again from square one.

Whats the actual problem besides you gettin' hacked? Your pages are no longer indexed by google? Or you have that "warning" shit popping up everytime somebody clicks a link to your site from a google search result?

If you're trying to get your site indexed by google again they wont contact you, you will just check one day and notice they started indexing your site. That's how it happened for me, but my situation was a bit different than yours. It took like a week and a half.

I just checked on a few sites and they are still indexed but with the SQL problems displayed. There are so many of them that I do not have the inclination to check on all of them. What I want removed is the domain being an attack site...which IE Explorer 8 does not say it is...but Fire Fox says it is and my Google account says it is. As I stated I downloaded all of the sites and then took them all off line. I checked many of the sites and found nothing wrong...but clearly I had been hacked as all of the sites that I checked that used SQL...the SQL was screwed up on them and could not be repaired via C-Panel.

I have put up a few new sites and asked Google to review them and remove the domain from being an attack site.

theking is a retard

(that was mandatory)

anyway, i had this happen to a site a few weeks ago, where firefox says 'this is an attack site' blablabla. I did the same as you, go to google account, add the site and click the link which is for this problem with a small message that it was hacked, but that I had fixed it. I believe it took just a couple of days, about 2-3 days and the attack site message was gone. They dont send a message they fixed it though, they just check your site and remove the attack site shit if your site is indeed clean.

make sure you fix any security hole that caused it and let google know in the reconsideration request all of the steps you've taken to get rid of anything malicious and what patches/fixes you made so it won't happen again.
as soon as you send the request you'll get an auto-reply. then in about a week or two, you'll get notified that they've taken a look at it.
unfortunately they don't tell you the outcome of their review, you just have to keep checking the serps and see if your rankings come back.

I would think that a real problem would be...that whoever did hack my sites now are aware that they or the host is vunerable and will simply do whatever it is they did all over again.

Well I have not found any security holes...other than the fact that most of the sites were in php and used SQL. Some have told me that php is very vunerable. Some have told me that it is my host that needs to protect me from such vunerabilities...but my hosts only response was ...that my sites were hacked.

All I told google was that I was hacked and had taken all of the sites down and that I had put up a couple of new sites and asked for a review.

forgot to mention that i fixed the security issue first ofcourse - in my case my host told me that there was probably a keylogger/trojan on my pc, since the whole account on my server was hacked.... donwloaded avast virus scanner, cleaned my pc, and changed all the passwords. Then i did the google request, and ive had no more problems since.

After I downloaded all of my sites I ran several virus scanners but nothing was found. Thanks for reminding me as I have yet to change my password for my host.

I had to submit a few sites. Didn't take them long. Maybe a week to reply.

It took Google 3 months to respond to a similar situation. Then it took 2 weeks to respond to my reply. Then 2 days for the next and a solution was hammered out.

In some cases they never responded.

Still no word and the domain is still listed as an attack site. I think I am in for a long wait.

Well...only took about a week...the domain is not listed as an attack site now...but I do fear that since I was hacked once it will happen again.
