Never bothered to use the feature. I'd much rather decide which posts to skip than have the board do it for me.

I do use the FFVB plugin to ignore contest threads though.

Agree, and my only reasoning is disgusting or disturbing avatars/signatures - I never ignore someone because of their inane/stupid/ignorant posts - there are just too many of those to do that.

Oystein, if you are ignoring some solely based on avatars, I suggest you try out my FF extension: http://www.tycamtech.com/ffvb

You can ignore avatars, sigs, users, threads... you can even highlight users and threads that you wish to keep track of.

There's a lot of other features as well, but since you mentioned avatars, I just thought I'd point it out.
