Hello everyone,

I'm not 'new' to the adult sites, however the last time I was in, which was only a few years ago, there didn't seem to be as many affiliate programs as I see looming around now, and it was a touch easier (from what I can currently tell) to break into the trading arena.

My question really is this.

Just starting out, with a fresh site, and a couple of affiliates in place (ARS / OXCASH), I've gotten a little bit of marketing material, which I've tried to put in place on my site currently. I know that nobody will want to trade with me, until I can guarantee them at least 200 uniques/day.

It's almost a catch 22, as I can't really get anyone to list me on their sites, because I'm not producing enough return traffic to make it worth their while, and I can produce the traffice because nobody is listing me.

What are your suggestions to get 'in' with some of the higher traffic folk?

Would it stand to reason that if (big if) I were to get one person that had tons of traffic to (for a few days or so), give me a really nice link placement on their site, I could then use that traffic to secure 2 or 3 other good sites... then the ball would get rolling?

Then again, maybe the suggestions from the crowd here would be "don't try and get a free ride" (which I'm not mind you), "just start out with a few links to high-traffic sites, and hope someone lists you back".

Again, I'm really unsure about it all.

If you have suggestions, i'm 100% up for it, anywhere from site-design (which in itself is a complete monster that's backwards from any designers standpoint), to site layout, to who to do 'business' with [ARS/OXCASH/ETC].

NaughtyMiami, maybe somebody will give you some good advice in this thread but it's going to get lost in a lot more 'go fuck yourself' type replies. There are many places which will link you regardless of your traffic count as long as you have a quality site and meet their rules.

Go to http://www.adultnetsurprise.com and look for Greenguy's chatboard, you will get good help there.

Since you haven't been running any adult sites for a long time, go here http://www.vnwr.com it will get you up to speed.

also Tom's Newbie Booster board.

I would take off any links to webmaster's sites ( gfy, wmi ) etc.. You do not want your surfers going there.. you want them going to your sponsors!

Would you mind giving a little case-in-point to back why I should remove those links to other websites?

The reason I ask that, is because to get listed on some high-traffic sites, I'm seeing that they're going to require links back (recips) to them. Easiest way there is to have that little top-list script in place so they can see they're in there, and provides visitors with a quick link to hop over to those that helped to send me traffice (if I ever get that far).

Can I, at this point, walk away from others sending me traffic? Right now, The only traffic I've seen produced is from this board, and the other adult bbs.

I meant links back to WEBMASTERS sites... You should link back to other traffic generating sites.. but not to webmasters sites like GFY.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, actually I was curious how many hits would I actually get from the boards, so I tossed those in there just to see. I don't plan on keeping those there. :-)
