a) They are unable to count 1st page clicks. (little technical knowledge)

b) They just want to shave.

c) They just use one server for all (little hd space).

d) They have no clue at all.

To get rid of worthless 1st clicks pushed throught blindlinks.

I rather pay x4 for 2nd clicks and choose my own ad to that link.

Counting 2nd page clicks can make the ratio look better only to newbies and newbies don't bring the signups sponsors expect. Shaving signups is another chapter.

They want newbies to think they're converting at 1:250 instead of 1:1000. Plus most of them are shaving signups anyway, and their ratios would look terrible if they showed 1st page clicks.
