Very aged domains (around 10 years old) can be picked-up very cheaply on some of the domain forums. So unless it`s a special name or has traffic or history etc. then it isn`t necessarily worth bundles.

I hope that helps with your valuation.

It being 11 years old is good for seo, but only if its been indexed in those years.

If it was regged in 1998 and sat still til today, and was never indexed, it might as well be brand new. (in that facet anyways).

age doesnt mean wanything if its got no pr or has no traffic or history, but if its a good name it could be worth quite a bit.

only if it's had a site on it for 11 years. aged but parked is practically useless. that's why i always develop every domain i have and never park them.

nichepornword.com is domain type.I targetting nicheporn keyword and pornword keyword.

11 year old domain, assuming not online is worth about 8k.. with online and little to no traffic it's worth about 10-12k, more traffic or any sales, its worth more. Every year is worth about $1k once past a few years old.

And 11 year old domain does NOT have to be online to have instant SEO value once it goes online, if built correctly of course.. And Google and Yahoo both care VERY much about domain age..

age matters alot, but like someone else said, be careful, because if the domain sat with no site on it for any extended period of time and gets deindexed, it might lose all advantage it had for it's age, even parking a domain can be a bad idea as google has been known to deindex parked domains and then when they are unparked they are almost worse to use compared to a brand new domain. when it comes to aged domains, make sure they are indexed if you are hoping to get the full benefits that comes along with an aged domain

a 10 year old domain that is penalized or banned by google isn't worth much, but a good 10 year old aged domain is a big plus to get, make sure you check it out before paying big money

You can put an aged domain, never online, online for the first time..add analytics, no backlinks, and it will get "rankings" ... not listings, we are talking absolute traffic listings, with ZERO backlink building..

The hardest listings in google to beat.. are aged domains or pages.. you can have 100x the backlinks, 100x better backlinks, and it won't make a shit difference to age.

Like a couple of people have said - age does make a difference regardless of whether it's been indexed, parked, etc. Obviously it helps if it's been indexed but seach engines, particularly Google, DO give preference to older domains regardless. The older a domain is, the more likely it is to be an established and trusted website and the less likely it is to be some spammy fucker trying to sneak his new spam website up the Google rankings - those kinds of site don't stick around.

If you have hundreds of 2 word or better domains, that are decent enough and old. Then you have millions if you can find buyers.

Sure on which part? I just released a fat burning site, it was not online but regged in 06.. so not even that aged. Just like anything aged though, no backlinks, 7 days, primary listings.. Now this site, picked up many longtails, because it's not old.. (not because of backlinks)

Once it hits about 10 years, the value of the domain changes into the years of it's age. So roughly $1k for every year, on a half decent domain.

Things like a long name, stupid words, ect.. age or not, if you can't pass the value to the buyer, it's pointless. But that doesn't change the fact that the domain, could, take off simply do it's age.

I noticed domain like teenporn.com is not even on top 100 for keyword with same name.Taking a good domain is just one of steps of many to get good serps.
