I didn't see where it said he was going to keep them at Gitmo.. and at that, it's not Gitmo people have a problem with, it's torture.

I'm sure some liberals will have a problem with this, but most wouldn't. He is making the system a bit more fair, not including proven false evidence taken from torture. So a guy in Gitmo, is going to know what hole I'm in? So the guy in Git that was taken away while farming... think he knows where the Marines are?

With all the people that were taken hostage, beheaded, etc.. how could anyone in Gitmo know where they were?

We aren't talking about on field combat, and getting information. No courts around, no cameras.... we just need a translator and the problem is solved.

And to answer the question... No, they shouldn't break the rules of war. We are better than that. I would expect them to forget about me and move on with the mission.

I shouldn't have been captured alive.. If I was, I was either sleeping or gave up, one of which isn't an option.

We don't need courts, cameras, etc.. we just need a translator, so we can 'talk' to them. Most PoW's, in these current wars, give up due to hunger and fear. They give up, that's the key. We don't need to beat them, water board them.. that doesn't mean we are nice to them, but that isn't torture.

And wanting to "kill" someone that hurt my kid directly, is about as far from Hypocrisy as one can get. I wouldn't want to torture innocent people along the way, that's the factor you seem to be missing.
