What Is A Good Help Desk Software ?

What Is A Good Help Desk Software ? I am looking for something
affordable and simple for customers to submit trouble tickets
etc. This is for a mainstream site. Any suggestions would be appreciated : )

there's a billion of them but unless you train your employee's and force them to use it, I wouldnt even bother. 400 companies i worked for, only 2-3 had a working helpdesk and that was because of management, not software choice...

Hmmm...Well I want to use it for customers not employees but I could imagine
by customers being easily confused on how to use it

We used to use this at our college helpdesk when I was workin there. Software's called HEAT

What is a better way to deal with customer support if you don't use a help desk?

I've only used a few in the past but I did like Cerberus.

whmcs and kayako are good, i switched to whmcs from kayako actually for my hosting business
