Affiliate payment fees are getting out of control.
So I'm going through some of my reviews here, and I find av9898, a good site that I promote via CCBill now has a new webmaster URL etc, so I check it out. I see they have Nats now, but my ccbill codes are working so whatever. I just wanted some fresh pictures.
Anyways I looked at their join form, and it says they'll only pay through Paypal, and there's a TEN dollar fee... I don't have a single sponsor that pays me by Paypal to begin with, but then ten dollars? What the fuck are they thinking? Then I checked a new site submission we received, and I see they're using Nats as well (http://www.adultrealcash.com). Check fee - $6 Courier fee - $50 Epassporte - $4 Intl Wire - $35 Paypal $4 or 5% (?...) US Wire $18 WebMoney - $4 or 2.5% On a $50 min payout, $4 is EIGHT percent! I prefer to get checks too, so that would be 12%... I mean I couldn't list these sites if I wanted to. I also "found" around $700 by logging in to 2 sponsors yesterday who for whatever reason weren't paying on time. Sands from ETU Cash got right back to me, and the payment type wasn't setup properly, so props there. Really gotta do regular checkups on all your sponsors, it's worth money nowadays. Also I'm seriously gonna have to consider implementing my own fuckin terms and conditions and policies.. I'm sick of losing money to these greedy payment fees, paying money to get paid.. as if I don't pay enough in bank fees already or something (endrant) |

Not if they pay you from a non adult related account to your non adult related account. Some sponsors will pay you how ever you want for some sales

Sure, but if paying by PayPal is the "standard" as opposed to the "exception"... I see someone screwing up somewhere and getting the whole operation canned.

Can't really keep track of them all, just need to spend some time every now and then and go through things to make sure you're somewhat covered. I'll load up all the sites that start with M for example, make sure links work, set dead sites to 0, look for new affiliate program changes.. Then another task for another day is logging into the affiliate programs to make sure things are getting paid out and whatnot.

Alright... Taking notes here... Yeah we're doing it all wrong... I'm going to add all of those and:
1. $3.50 cup of coffee during processing if processed before 10:30am. 2. $7.50 for sandwich if processed between the hours of 11:30-2:30. 3. $10.50 if processed at 4:20 4. $4.50 for beer if processed 5:00 on. And we simply won't work any time in between. Those are for smoke breaks, and surfing GFY. And I need some gas for my car too... |

I get sponsors emailing me or calling me up and telling me I haven't cashed my check in 2 weeks, and wondering if everything is ok. I get sponsors telling me an old check wasn't cashed and asking if they need to resend it, etc.. I always make a point to send them more traffic.
It's completely my fault if I find uncashed checks that have expired, but I still appreciate the sponsor noticing and contacting me. I'll try to push more sales to them. If I catch missing or late payments myself, I'd be inclined to drop or send less. There's always another sponsor waiting to take the sales.

I agree and it is something I have been noticing for a while now. Somewhere it became okay to have to pay them for paying us.
I am happy to say that Max Cash doesn't charge our affiliates anything for either check or epass payments. |

Way too greedy.
We don't charge a penny, even for the wire transfers. All our affiliates payouts are free of charge. |

And if he knew VBA he could automate it all by using the Internet Explorer Object library in his VBA code and run though all in the background.
Just sayin...

To claim a fee for ePassporte transfer is wretched. Specially when the minimal payment is $100.

Checks should be free, or at most the $2 or so that they actually get charged by the company that cuts the checks.
If you make $XXXX in a pay period, payment of any type should be on them, including wires.

Would be better if they would just raise the minimum payouts and reduce the fees.

Some programs use a third party payment system such as Webmaster Checks. These companies have 'load' fees, and payout fees based on how the affiliate is paid. Here is an example:
Load by Wire $0 Load by ACH $0 Load by epassporte $3 Load by paypal 0.4% Load by Check $10 Use of Canadian ACH - $30 PER batch Epassporte $30 load fee Webmoney $35 load fee Then to pay the affiliates: US Postal Check $1.5-5 per check Euro/Sterling Check $4-5 per check Paypal $2-3 US ACH $2-3 Canadian ACH $2-3 Epassporte $3-4 Revup Card $1-3 US Wire $18 International wire $35 Western Union $16-40 Webmoney $2.5 + .8% Stamps, USPS Priority service, or Courier are also extra. |
