Best show ever... it ends well, but they couldn't have really fucked it up too much because of how the seasons work.

Rumors of a movie but I don't think they're true, and I don't think it would work.

gideongallery 04-21-2009 03:38 AM

I skipped watching that because I missed the first few shows and figured I would try it out on DVD when it finished. Then it was canceled so soon that I didn't know if it was worth it after all.

Neon Dollars Daniel 05-07-2009 06:08 AM

This Life only got 2 seasons

Fawlty Towers only 2 seasons (and 4 years apart)

I plan to see Firefly as I liked Serenity.

Manimal was my favourite show as a kid, but it only lasted 1 season I believe :-P

After the last episode I don't see Chuck being canceled. :2 cents:

jgabra62 05-07-2009 06:14 AM

That new show 'Kings' was friggin awesome!

LadyMischief 05-07-2009 06:15 AM

Add Dollhouse to that list. The bastard networks must have something against Joss Wheaton.

Got Porn? 05-07-2009 06:19 AM

Lucky Louie
Arrested Development

closer 05-07-2009 07:47 AM

ST Enterprise - there was still enough material to make a season or 2
Basically all HBO series except for 6 feet under

I didn't think Dollhouse was that good. It had potential as an idea but was taking too long to get there while we had 'oh, she is a different personality this week' stories.

no such luck it going to be cancelled
funny thing is that show would be a perfect lead in to burn notice
those shows are mirror images of each other and with universal owning both nbc and usanetwork it would be a perfect move. if they could subsidize production enough to get cost down to an acceptable level.

STAROTICA 05-09-2009 06:42 AM

wishman was on abc

Loved that show

Yea I really hated how that ended. It was such an interesting show, and they completely leave us hanging. I hate when shows have some type of mystery behind it only to never finish telling the story.. speaking of that, another show like many others have mentioned..

JERICHO!!!

I really hate what they did to that show. There was so much storyline going on, but they were forced to rush a lot of it in the final season and it made the final episodes less than what they could have been.

Anyway, some other shows..

Rome - This easily could have gone on a few more seasons, but I am glad they didn't leave us hanging with some mystery.

The Wire - Great show. They did have a good run, but this show could have gone on a very long time and still been great.

Someone mentioned the Black Donnelleys (sp). I thought it was a good premise, but really the acting was just horrible and made the show really unwatchable. The casting was awful, that main actor was so un-believable as a 'tough guy' type of person, they would have had a better chance casting Lance Bass for that role.

Btw, for Jericho fans, there is a new post-apoc type of show coming out I believe in 2010 called "Day One" (http://www.airlockalpha.com/news426317.html). I doubt it'll be like Jericho, but hey it may be good.

No, we are behind but I have heard that it was getting better. Perhaps that is why it wasn't canned. They didn't want to be blamed for another Firefly situation with the fans.

reaper is so in the wrong spot it should be after/before supernaturals
after watching cross pol. in the bit torrent space, it only makes sense that similar patterns of aquiring media would happen if the show were put back to back.

mowe should be after burn notice or 24
sarah conner should be after torchwood

kings has been cancelled nbc pulled the order for the back nine
what you are getting to see is the episodes that have already been shot and completed post production

the only way that show is comming back next year is if another station picks it up.

god F that. that was a good show, i loved the the plot line. You arent even giving a tv show a shot when you put it on saturday nights (i know it started on sunday, but it moved after like 2 episodes?). I watched everyone of them, but all on hulu. I doubt they consider hulu views when canceling shows like this.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 05-21-2009 02:01 PM

you do realize the plot line is the story of king david right. It matches the bible story line perfectly. That being said i agree with you they did a fantastic job of hiding that fact. I really like that show, again that show is on the wrong network behind the wrong show. It should be on after ghost whispers or medium or better yet on a network like pax.
