What shows do you think were cancelled too early?

I will start by throwing Firefly into the pot as my first offering. It deserved more than one season for sure.

Oh man I was gonna come in here just to say Firefly. Serenity is a good movie that helps wrap it up but it really needed more seasons to play out.

I had to leave the room while my girl was watching the new one the other night.

Add that to the list of shows that should be canceled soon.

LadyMischief 04-06-2009 11:35 AM

Andromeda was another but the last season just wasn't the same without Tyr Anasaze.

INDY500DRIVER 04-06-2009 11:53 AM

Alias
Arrested Development
Pushing Daisy's (Anna Friel is hot!)
My Own Worst Enemy (Slater is good as a bad ass.. Very Bad Things movie is awesome!)
The Practice (On Its Last Season)
Fringe.. Anyone know if htis was cancelled?

Raven 04-06-2009 12:17 PM

Two that I can think of offhand:
Firefly - although you can watch him in Castle and it's not bad
Dead Like Me

The new episodes of Fringe start tomorrow.

The Inside was a great show. It was on Fox so I should have known they would cancel it.

Yeah, they manage to wrap it up. But it pretty much ends in the same spot it begins (almost exactly actually) but after watching the show, it makes perfect sense.

I will have to get a copy then. I need something new for exercise time anyway.

Serenity also deserved to be more than one film but he just has no luck with that franchise.

Also agree with Dead Like Me. Haven't seen the film thing yet but haven't heard great things about it sadly.

Manowar 04-06-2009 12:40 PM

THE LOOP

THE LOOP

THE LOOP!!! Stupid for them to cancel it. Absolutely retarded. Was one of the funniest shows on tv.

Arrested Development

and Las Vegas. I still haven't caught every episode of Las Vegas yet, but its on TNT 2 times a day mid morning and I am trying to see them all.

Bama 04-06-2009 01:26 PM

West Wing
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Both shows required more thought process than a typical "reality show" lover can muster up and networks love that. Reality shows are some of their biggest money makers and as long as folks support them, that's about all we're going to get.
:(

Film? Really?

No Mandy Patinkin. Hmmmm. He made that show.

I can't imagine Desmond from Lost filling those shoes. How utterly disappointing.

Glad so many people are agreeing with Firefly. We just re watched it and it was far too good to be cancelled that soon.

james_clickmemedia 04-08-2009 03:46 AM

Deadwood & Million Dollar Listing. ( not sure if the later is canceled).

man i actually liked it
i really think they should have switched the cupid character with the bar owner.

But other than that it was pretty good remake of the original.

I hope this one survives. projecting 100 episode arc is really gutsy in this marketplace.

Million Dollar Listings (20 yearolds selling malibu houses)

That's all that comes to mind at the moment..

That post really clears up a lot about you. I knew right away that you're stupid as fuck but I didn't catch on that you were actually retarded. Sorry for teasing.

My biggest disappointment was another one of Summer Glau's projects. Yes, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles broke my heart when it was canceled. Now I'll never know if Cameron was JC's lover, how the timeline was or wasn't affected, and a bunch of other "unresolved" issues. Grrrrr!

Other than that, The Sopranos sticks in my mind ... I would have watched that 20+ seasons if it had continued, LOL.

#1 Firefly. No competition.
#2 Deadwood, amazing. How could they not finish it?

Somewhere further down...

Dead Like Me.. great show but not mindblowing. still better than 95% of everything else on tv.
Journeyman.. surprisingly and actually really good... maybe it's because I had such low expectations but yeah.. decent writing etc. needed more than a single season.

Life on Mars I can't say ended too early. It's one of the best shows ever, probably in my top 3.. so good that even American tv can't screw it up too bad (Seriously the US version isn't THAT bad, although I'll guarantee it doesn't end the same way.) but it wasn't the kind of show that could have had 10 seasons.. Maybe they could have eeked another one out, but they managed to go out on top, without any exhaustion and with total class.

Jericho, well.. it's average 3 star schlock, but it still would have been nice to see how things ended up.

Oz could have gone on forever as far as i'm concerned... the production costs couldn't have been that high.. but they did have a good run.

Dear John,Enterprise, and most important of all,SURFACE
