I don't think they can really regulate spam. I'm not against regulating it either, but I question the effectiveness of the attempt. TGPs, on the other hand, can much more easily be shut down.

Is anyone NOT drinking? I am, but that's not unusual... Breakfast of champions, etc.

i suppose i could search for something on google, and run into a cp site. but that is rare. a parent getting spammed a dozen times daily with porn is going to react. |
the bottom line is as long as all that free shit is not censored
wether it comes from spam or tgp's or whatever we will catch heat from everyone against Porn. |
feel free to make your way into my who is still drink thead hehe

in other words, for as long as any of us continue to work in this industry. |

hopefully we can meet in vegas and laugh at the shit we say on the boards. sometimes its a good place for me to vent again if you took my post wrong i apologize. |
I think Pornkings is right... Once there is a real age-verification process in place and no explicit shit outside it (the "plain-brown-wrapper" standard I mentioned in some other thread), the "heat" we catch will get turned way down. The industry is fringe and we're widely hated, but when we get our collective act together they will mostly leave us alone.
The current administration might have us all executed, though, proving me wrong. |

look on the first page I said I remember when i wasn't sure if I should get into this business because of the bad stigma attached to it. your right we are just all Porn peddlers |

if north america's puritanical tendencies disappeared, the market for porn would be decimated. |

If it makes money and doesn't HURT anybody I'll do it. And NO I do not feel leaving my sites open to children to look at as something bad at all. If they are on the internet then they should have blocking software and all my sites are registered with ACLA or whatever there called. Sammy |
Quiet, I'm talking about legal restrictions only, not about the reason it's a valuable industry. The "plain brown wrapper" standard I alluded to is actually a result of a Supreme Court decision, which is where the phrase originated, I believe. They're not going to try to eliminate porn, but their continuing efforts to keep it "at bay" will help to keep it valuable, I think... I am not sure if we're really in disagreement.

what i'm saying is this: as long as there is 'porn', there will always be an edge that is walked. the edge between what the puritanicals argue against, and what we do. when playboy first came out - look out. that WAS hardcore porn. then larry flynt, and his famous shots of girls with there legs spread - gasp. no matter where the edge lies, said edge is where porn will exist (and where it will get it's definition from). regardless of the specifics (showing ankle/nude girls/spread legs/tgps/porn spam/max hardcore/etc). :glugglug |
Ok. Yes. :glugglug

spam is good
tgp is good porn is good its all fuckin good i do what i do and I dont care what you do... cause my checks never bounce... and nobody here pays my bills, so the opinions dont matter :) |

Spam is not ok because spam=theft of services. 33% of email is spam. The spammers don't pay for that bandwidth, the recipients do. Spammers are almost always scum - doing stuff like rooting machines, exploiting insecure formmails, open relays, forging headers, "joe jobbing" anti-spam activists, making deceptive subject lines, etc etc.. Spammers are thieving scum. TGP owners are not. They just have a different biz approach that may or may not be harmful to this industry. Cheers, Backov |

I wonder how Tele marketing would do for pornsites It would be kinda funny. Ask for the man of the house. need a sales pitch of some sort give them a user and password to get in free for like an hour and if they decide to stay give them 1/2 price of the normal membership. has anyone tried postal bulk-mailing to specific demographic groups? |
i had to look this word up 'puritanical
I have no doubt that you DID have to look it up... Dudette |
"tgps are run like any normal business, u pay the expenses required to provide a service. "
??? And email marketers pay for scripts, hosting, buy lists, etc.... big deal, anything can be run like a normal biz (ie, the mob, drug dealers, etc) I think the question here is who crosses the line and pushes truely offensive crap in unwanting peoples faces, who lets kids get into free shit? what's legal, what's not, etc etc etc Personally I see no harm in running an effective email marketing biz, as long as one is responsible about it, same for TGP as long as it's behind a good warning page & can be filtered out by parents, etc... Hardcore content in and sent to harvested emails and hardcore out in the open on a TGP is truely irresponsible imo, and only asking for more legislation which I'm certain is on the way :/ |
Quote:
that mentality is the whole problem,"If it makes me money I'm going to do it"...Soon those options wont be there when an outside force steps in... everything isnt "all good",a bulk of the money made in this biz is made in an "all bad" sense whether you want to define good and bad doesnt really matter, its not up to us when the laws come out.... |

u should listen to Backov, because he is echoing the statements of ppl who matter in ur spammer lives.

I believe the post was referring to email spam?
so mind your business, the adults here are talking |
DrewKole, arent you the guy with all the rape sites?
really classy shit |
Post some proof... a google on the name drewkole doesn't work either, since some rape CP decided to use the hun's source and change the descriptions.
I use my real name, business, and address on all my whois's... I've never had anything to do with rape, scat, cp, beastiality, or anything else I personally deem immoral. So post some proof, or shut the fuck up. =) |
shut the fuck up?
man i just asked a question. But go ahead and talk tough here, because you damn sure wouldnt do it in my presence. |
