to be honest it depends on many things when I decide to cancel an acount or not.

If our hosting catches heat yes,
if it has anything to do with CP or beastie yes
if its deceptive and blind yes

many reasons but not if its double opt in or it has removes and done right. most of the time I don't even know if someones spamming us until we get notified and then they are shut off.
but for the ones who know what they are doing I would never know unless someone brings it to my attention.

So I guess it depends on many things
if its someone in the basement just spamming us derectly hell yea.
most spammers out there have remove links and wash the lists before spamming sponsors.

the difference between spam and TGPs is that with a TGP the surfer is looking for porn and with spam it's FORCED on them at times they arn't interesting in it.

think it's been said 500 times already,you have to search for a tgp or freesite,thats where a parent or parental FILTER should come into play... well of course. i run my own sites, i rarely use sponsors, and the few that i do use, i know the owners personally. why should anyone be sending me email i didn't ask for? i get loads of it everyday, always saying i've 'opted in' - when the fact is, i haven't opted into a mailing list for many years.

why would i be 'in favor' of getting crappy en mass emails about shitty sites i don't give a damn about?

it's not a big deal to me though. not at all. it's like a buzzing fly - caught between the window and the screen. a minor irritation.
