The best Internext ever was like 2001. Holy shit, you'd have to get a bottle of water and pack a lunch to walk from one side of the show floor to the other. I couldn't walk 5 feet back then without running into someone I knew. The good old days. I personally love tradeshows in general. The show floor buzz in the big convention hall. Everyone attending. Sadly though, it will never be that way again. Times are a changing, the industry is changing in ways that do not support giant shows anymore. Everyone will have to learn how to make it work.

That was a good one...but even then it was a little smaller than the 1999 and 2000 shows which were just a monsters. The good old IA2000 days. Crazy shit.
But even then we got raped on the Sands Expo Floor. We had a 20 x 20 booth each year for the content company I used to own. And I brought in 4 or 5 models. I remember we needed a couch for our booth. They rented us an old naugahyde piece of shit couch that had rips and tears in it. Looked like it had come out of an abandoned trailer park. lol $500 a day for that couch! Seems like everyone has always seen us coming at the shows even before AVN... and every price is always jacked up. |

Indeed. This was my first show, and I came just as an attendee. Was also my first time in Vegas. Lets just say that it was an eye opener - felt like being in a movie!
Could have just been from it being my first, but it will always be my favorite. -Phil
