Hey Guys,

For the first time in 2 years we got some chargebacks (10) of 2 different members.
Im wondering what its normal to do in this case, is there somewhere to report this fraudulent Transactions ?

Is there a site were we can post this kind of stuff so other Webmasters can Banned this motherfuckers in advance ? and this would not happen to them.
Im refferring to Ips, CC data, emails etc.

how the hell can a customer charge back an average of five charges? I've never seen more than two chargebacks on one customer...The rest are too old.

Maybe in ur business is not normal that a customer buys credits up to 20-30 times per month or even spend 1000s of dollars.
But in Webcams is so.

And in this case one of the Members was using multiple cards.

Yeah, chargebacks are bullshit all the way around. I've had guys buy VOD downloads and then chargeback. It's like I just gave my shit away for free

And that's through CC Bill who just does the chargeback no questions asked.

Then in the members area I've had guys join and stay for months. I check the logs and see them on the site hundreds of times...and then one day they just go and chargeback and BAM! I get hit for 4 or 5 chargebacks. It's total bullshit.

actually, it's more like going to see a movie at the theater and then afterwards going to the box office asking for a refund because you didn't enjoy it. how many times does that happen? but when some cheap fucker spends almost the entire month on a a site and downloads all the content, all he has to do is call Visa and bam!...here's your money back sir.

i got a chargeback on a $3.95 trial! i don't mean after they got charged for the full price membership...i mean for the $3.95!

Ya can't fight them unless you have a signature with some of the banks... Or direct emails with their names on the email and an IP from the email from their area discussing the service indepth..

It's VERY hard to win webcam and phonesex chargebacks.

however, I background check the fucker... find his mom/wife and try to do a collection ;) while informing them of his fucked up fetish.

Find this dudes wife and provide proof of whatever girl he did his shows with.. I'm sure she'll appreciate it ;)

Then give some song and dance about how that girl will now not be able to afford her books for school this semester because she has to eat the fees.

That should work until you get your ass sued for either the collections issue itself or either them being truthful or not and saying that the card was stolen and used without his permission.

with a merchant account you can fight them, and you actually win alot of them too.

Thats my one gripe about 3rd party billers is they roll over way too quickly.

I would be your duty to understand collection laws in all of the states. For example in a few states off the top of my head leaving a descriptive message or speaking about the debt to another besides the actual person is illegal.

You have to differentiate between the different types of chargebacks.

There are truly stolen cards or card numbers used without the owner's permission. (Nothing you can do but learn from each case and constantly improve your transaction monitoring and detection procedures. Don't rely on your processor to do it for you).

There are scumbag chargebacks where the customer received the service and just didn't want to pay or maybe got carried away and overspent then panicked when his wife saw the bill or it became time to pay it. (These fuckers can and should be sued but you have to identify them)

And of course there are also cases where the site screwed the customer and didn't deliver what was promised and wouldn't compensate or refund where compensation should be due and left the cardholder with no other recourse to get his money back.

I don't want to demoralise anybody but I have seen a 5 month old chargeback this month, and that's not the oldest I have ever seen.

Simply take the % of CB´s from your gross income, and rise your prices about this %.

I think this is not possible in this case, you might be sueing people whos cards were stolen and at the end u would loose and together with it a bunch of money on fees.

Call them up. They will say their card was stolen. Tell them you have to call the local police and file a police report. They won't like that and allow you to charge them.

I stopped a POTENTIAL chargeback by voiding a $99 transaction that some new affiliate from vietnam with a bogus website put through....The card was in a woman's name also and that's a BIG red flag...

So instead of being greedy and taking the money, then losing it on a future chargeback I voided it now, avoiding the chargeback and having to get $99 deducted from a future check.

What gets me is that these idiots can easily charge back thousands of dollars that they legitimately spent yet, I had one of my credit cards stolen and used at a bar and I am still fighting Mastercard over those charges even though I reported the card stolen.

That's why you differentiate on what they are claiming in the chargeback. If they claim stolen card.. then nothing you can do.

If they claim "fraudulant" or "I Didn't make these charges" but it's from their home phone number.. then I do it.

Yes but in webcam and phone sex... Some banks like MCCS won't take anything but a signature... Sometimes with Humboldt (pre being bought.. I haven't disputed a cb with them since they changed hands).... You could provide proof of phone number, address, or email...

But with cam and phone sex.. the instance of it being charged back is so high.. that the banks are complete dicks to us when it comes to winning.

I've gotten a person blacklisted from any ccbill transactions. I think CCBill was only able to blacklist their email though.
