A company was FORCED to change the rules to accept a fat person into their company, when they're a damn dancing company?! It's bad for their business, bad for their advertising. How can they NOT be well within their rights to reject this person?

This is all absolute BS. I hate fat pride. They are not beautiful, their bodies are not fine. I despise their frustrating debates on their rights.

How can our laws have been warped so badly that we can have these kinds of things happening in our society?

I would die before letting myself become fat.

Pink is correct. There are also people with certain thyroid gland and hormonal imbalances that have a problem with obesity. It's a tough issue with good and bad points on both sides, but I wouldn't go so far as to use the word "hate" where fat people are concerned. People come in all shapes and sizes, it's best to learn to appreciate them all. I'd rather hate a person for their personal choice to be an ignorant snidely dumbass than I would for their weight problem... but that's just me.

Okay, this isn't my "excuse" for being overweight...but I have some fairly fucking serious physical disabilities that prevent me from losing as much weight as I'd like to. I know firsthand that sometimes when you see someone fat, it isn't because they're lazy. I work out about three times a week, lifting weights, no-impact cardio, etc...but I was also born with congenital defects of the spine, pelvic bone, and legs...so sometimes my ass stays on the couch because walking is either too painful or just plain impossible. So, it also follows that my ass stays fat.

Let me guess, Dragon Curve -- you probably also think that handicapped people or those with physical illnesses are also wastes of space, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, seriously. I'm trying to figure out just how far this unreasoning hatred of yours extends -- just fat people? Cripples? Retards? Where do you draw the line? Does someone have to be physically perfect before you accord them any respect?

NOW that is a load of BULLSHIT, in NZ we had a woman doing these aerobics and she was good at it she was hired by the gym and lead lots of gym classes. She was on like 60 minutes NZ or some current affair and her Husband said she was looking the same weight even after doing all that exercise each day, she toned up but wasn't going to drop any more weight cause she got home and pigged out on 3-4 Mars bars or Moro type bars and didn't eat well. If she did eat well she would lose all the excess weight cause she exercised that much.

Companies should hire whoever the fuck they want and not be forced to hire someone that they don't want. There mistake was admitting it was her weight that they didn't like and I guess for that they got punished.

Ok, after reading the other posts I will also admit that yes there are some that do have real disablities that stop them from exercising or having a healthly body and I was not meaning those people. I was meaning people who say, oh i'm fat I guess it must be my genes.

I feel for people who's bodies don't work properly where there body restricts them, I myself have RSI in my hands and a totally fucked up disc in my back which is quickly fuzzing itself to the other 2 discs around them. To many years on computers sure fucks a lot of things up.

I was meaning people who say, oh i'm fat I guess it must be my genes. I feel for people who's bodies don't work properly where there body restricts them, I myself have RSI in my hands and a totally fucked up disc in my back which is quickly fuzzing itself to the other 2 discs around them.
