Hello everyone. Could someone tell us why staying in vegas after AEE for internext is a good idea. Do you feel Internext is a great place to meet new traffic sending webmasters? Or is it just a big party?

If you go in with a plan and have a schedule to meet with specific reps/companies, I think it's a great way to do some business. However if you go there wide eyed as a newb and just go to the parties and what not - it will be a huge waste of time and money.

My issue is this; I really have no interest in meeting reps from other adult programs for the purpose of business.

I mean maybe I am missing something here, but what can they offer me? Or what can I offer them?

We are in the process of building our program out and with only two websites right now, we are not looking to do ant up sales or anything.

We already have all the third party content we need from member channels and WWC?. Wso my question is this.. what sort of biz could we possibly do with another program at this stage of the game?

What we need are good affiliates. Would you consider internext a good place to recruit affiliates?, or is this event more or less a B2B or program to program event.

For you as an adult webmaster, why would you go to AEE? Go to Internext instead.

My first show I went to the Phoenix forum my first show basically party and see what its all about with no real plan ( I hadn' launched a site yet) but I did make tons of contacts and met with people who knew me from my posts here. I also met a model that I ended up making a long term biz and personal relationship with and now we are launching her site soon. The second show I went to was the last Internext and made connections with a couple of really big affiliates and guys to send traffic. This time I brought a model with me (Shyla Jennings) and we met alot of big industry people. Now I have my own program http://jayrockcash.com and my first site http://puresybian.com/maintour.html launched and Im still learning how to make money with a paysite. I must say though every show has been worth it and a learning experience. My advice for anyone going to a show for the first time is have a good time, but don't get too wasted (beware of the 24 hour open bar) so you can still get some business done. Im going to try to do biz during the day and get wasted at night. That way people get to know the straight biz JayRock and the JayRock at night that has alot of debaucherous fun. This year should be alot of fun with Jessie. She instigates all types of sexual adventures when I'm around her. HER SITE is COMING SOON

why not ? i dont get what the issue would be if you make twice the profit you are now overnight from a simple conversation.

first explain why you aren't interested in making more money then we will have a better understanding of what you are looking for.

Hi Smokey, We are always interested in making more money.
I am not interested in leaking our traffic to potentially shady companies who may or may not scam our surfers with illegal xsells etc.

Our goal is to build a network of sites with global trust and widespread appeal.

The adult industry seems to be full of people who say and do things with ulterior motives in mind, and even passive agressive swipes.

In my humble opinion, those people cannot be trusted and so, for right now we are not looking to up, cross or sideways sell anything for anybody. We are ok financially and can afford to pass up on the ?extra money?

Do you have any advice about the thread topic?

We have two models coming with us, but only 1 if we decide to stay for internext. I guess due to age limits at the Palms, only the 21 year old model will be at internext.. if we decide to stay over.

yes. Don't go to either. If you don't want to party or make money its probably a waste of time.

Sounds like you have already made up your mind about what goes on and thus it would be pointless.

My advice is stop worrying about who you dont trust and worry about who you do trust.

First make a list of companies you trust. Try to setup a meeting and make deals, i mean they arent going to babysit you through how to make money, if you have nothing to bring to the table then dont waste your time.

Just to give you some ideas on why you would want to speak to other program reps..

Find a company you trust, lets say nastydollars, they have a black site you have a black site, propose an idea, maybe they put a link in their weekly mailer to their members to roundnbrown for a little higher cut than your affiliates get, lets say they generate 50 sales a day and you net $10 a sale, you just made $500 a day for 3 minutes work at internext talking to a rep.

Not gonna walk you through how to network but you get the idea, thats just 1.

Other good areas to focus on are what things you pay for.

Hosting
processing
advertising

meet with people in those areas and try to lower your costs

The Golden Rule says you should treat others as you would wish to be treated. If you would refuse to sell someone else's site, why would anyone want to sell yours? If you think everyone else is shady, what would convince others you are not?

To answer your original question, it does not sound like you'd get any particular benefit from attending Internext.

You get out of a trade show what you put into it. If you are personable, smart, business savvy, know how to engage people and have something of value to offer, especially traffic- you may very well do some business at the trade shows. AEE is best if you are actually crazy enough to open an adult book & video store at this stage of the game. You can meet distributors, suppliers, attorneys and other people that may help you with that business. Internext clearly is best for the adult web site business. But don't fool yourself into thinking you are going to easily meet lots of affiliates at Internext who control thousands of clicks each who are going to meet you and be willing to send traffic so quickly and easily unless you have some amazing sites and unless you are able to reciprocate in kind. This business has matured and it's' not quite that easy anymore. That being said, I have always done business at every trade show that I have ever gone to to justify paying for the trip.

Internext is a big waste unless you have specific people you want to deal with. The affiliates that actually go and have traffic don't need you.

Now if you had a hot single girl site and brought the girl with you, then you might have a chance to get some traffic. But just a generic cash program you would be better off spending the money on webmaster mailers or something.

Nope, there are very few full time affiliates at internext, and the ones that do go absolutely hate being spammed by new programs.

from my experience, its mainly b2b rather than an affiliate get together. if you are a large affiliate you can do some biz or meet the people who pay you each month.

ive always gone in the past to work some SEO and SEM deals which worked out nicely, but this year its more of just to meet up with friends in the biz, do some partying, etc. but hoping to meet with a few people to expand my network out a bit and work some business with advertisers and program owners.
