The Golden Rule says you should treat others as you would wish to be treated. If you would refuse to sell someone else's site, why would anyone want to sell yours? If you think everyone else is shady, what would convince others you are not?
To answer your original question, it does not sound like you'd get any particular benefit from attending Internext.
