Offering high-end SEO services

For the first time I am considering offering my SEO services. I own mainstream websites who receive over a million uniques per month from Google. My sites are pretty maxed out in terms of SEO and my niche has taken a serious revenue hit from the recession (down to 4 cents per click from 13) so it makes since to do some grunt work.

I will only take 1 or 2 clients so I will choose them carefully. If the sites to be promoted have a solid business model and convert well I don't mind working for revenue share with no upfront costs.

My services include keyword research and link building. Unless there is something seriously fucked up on-page optimizations are typically not required. I go after BIG keywords, not the long tail.

If you'd like to talk, please post your URL(s) and contact info and if I think I can help you make money I will contact you.

For a few of reasons:

1. it?s difficult to SEO new websites. If I learn a new niche, build websites in it and SEO them I'm looking at 9+ months before I start generating meaningful traffic.
2. SEO is expensive. If you don't know how to monetize well it is not always economical.
3. My niche will bounce back, and when it does it will require my full attention. Right now I'm just looking for something to occupy my time so I'm not tempted to make bad investments during the recession.

SEO is expensive?

I guess if you are buying the traffic.

1. Regional data on Google trends is not nominal. It shows how popular a particular term is in a particular country. The fact that Philippines is at the top of the list means that "Free Games" is a very popular search in the Philippines not that more people search for "Free Games" in the Philippines than in any other country.

2. Here is the actual data:

3. You are embarrassing yourself.

nope. Its still a indication as to how the traffic is for the terms you focus on. But I'm sure you wont agree with that. And it dont change the fact its not a "high end" job done to that site

Im not flaming your site - its really a good site.

Im only saying that its nothing to do with high end SEO.

To be honest - if I was you, I would invest time in getting bannerdeals that pay you more than those click rates. Your traffic seems stable on the chart.

People come to your site to play free games, they dont come there to click banners while playing. You need to indentify your users trafficpattern and adapt to maximise the CTR.

I think google adsense is the wrong solution in your case

We run other campaigns every now and then, but we've been able to reach a 5.12% CTR with adsense (per page not ad unit) so it pays pretty well.

Don't I get any credit for being registered here since 2004? Who the hell is this pussyserver anyway?

Search for pussyserver (probably still on the first page) and you´ll understand why people are being sceptic

hehe - no
But dont worry. Anyone with half a mind wont think you are him

About the CTR. I dont have game sites, so I don't how that is compared to other sites, I'm basing it purely on the click value.

Google Adsense is a traffic leak, leading your customers to competitive sites. I think the % of "new visits" supports my claim.

Your site should be growing with that amount of new visits

It's very difficult to create visitor loyalty in a gaming site. Maybe if I had $300K USD to spend on development I'd give it a shot.

So according to the numbers you are posting you only make ~$17 per day from that game site getting over 8000 google uniques a day? 247,000/30 = 8233. 8233 x 0,0512 (your ctr) = 421,50. 421,50 x 4 cent (your avg revenue per click) = almost $17 right?

edit: or is this ctr based on page views and not uniques? If so what are your pagviews per month?

That's only for "free games" query from google, I'm sure he ranks for other terms and gets traffic from other sources too... and ctr is based on page views too...

Site makes about $100K/year with adsense bringing in about 75% of that.

I bloody hope not

The visits and avarage page views are visible in the stats, and he already mentioned the CTR on pagelevel

Makes sense if your site has ~3mil pageviews per month which I'm pretty sure it has. I feel with ya on the 13c to 4c drop, that' some serious coin per month lost.

Miniclip did it by all exclusive and I bet they have a much bigger budget due to their investors.

Don't know why your getting flamed in this thread, I've seen your posts before and your site is a shining example of good SEO, you know your shit and I dont know why people are acting like you don't.

Hopefully you will find some good clients, I bet you will make them a lot with those kinds of skills.

The way that trends works is that it shows you all searches that contain the words you search for. It doesn't show you searches for the exact phrase.

Consider these two examples:

1. http://www.google.com/trends?q=games+free%2C+free+games

Obviously more people search for "free games" than "games free" but Trends does not show this.

2. http://www.google.com/trends?q=onlin...e=all&so rt=0

Obviously more people search for "Porn" than "Online". "Online" doesn't mean anything but it's a very common word in other search phrases.
