If you are new, then you are a newbie, no matter how well you are doing. Doing well doesn't imply you are not an newbie. And being a newbie doesn't imply that your decisions are always wrong. But, I can tell you're a newbie because the enter page pops up a new window when you click enter. There is no reason to do this, and it can only hurt your site. If I am wrong, then please tell me why you insist on doing this?

Same thing happened with me. If I were a surfer, because of all of the popups, I would never return to that site. My thinking is if you don't catch them the first time around, they will never return.
Why ask for opinions when you just argue about the advice given? Why ask for opinions when you say you are doing very well without advice?

Damn, I missed a fun thread yesterday. I skimmed most of it, but can someone recap it for me anyway? Looks to me like it goes a little something like this:

1. Desirae spams, pretending to ask for advice.
2. Despite the obvious spam, people give Desirae advice.
3. Desirae is very offended by the advice (or at least pretends to be), and begins bragging about how much money she makes, how successful she is, etc (which is really just more spam).

Also thrown in the mix are a few dorks trying to get laid and possibly a disgruntled female who supports Desirae's spam, simply because she is jealous of the RESPECT some of the other women on this board have.

I have to agree everyone here is very nice in fact .When I asked for advice about our site. Which is a plussized site , I was alittle nervious about my wife getting ripped apart. In fact it was the opposite everyone that wrote was very constructive and helpful. In fact this board has a hole in my life since I Have been lucky and need to have a day job anymore. This has become a replacement for hanging around the water cooler lol.

If you have any of those silly toplist buttons, amateur link exchanges, whatever - that is a traffic leak.

If you have an exit button to Yahoo, or something similar, that is a traffic leak.

If you pop ANY consoles before you have determined that your surfer is leaving never to return - that is a traffic leak.

Any path where the surfer can click a link and NOT eventually get to your signup page is a traffic leak.

Also, as others have pointed out, it's good to have a simple and obvious path to the join page. You wouldn't believe how many sites I've seen that are so confusing, that I as a professional webmaster have to click around trying to find where to join - you're never gonna get good conversions that way.
