Aggghh - D - my wife and I run an amateur paysite - it does very nicely and no I am not going to compare numbers with you.

However, if you want to get more sign-ups don't distract the surfer with pop-ups as soon as he hits your page. If you want to trade traffic with top lists or sell the surfer on some other paysite then do it via an exit console - or even a blur.

Popping consoles in the surfer's face as soon as he arrives is extremely amateurish - and the meaning I apply to that is not the one that equates with an amateur model.

Your pop-ups lost me...though I thought your site looked pretty good otherwise. (If I was a customer, I would have signed up...unless I was sent to popup hell first! :) )

I've seen sites that send their surfers to 'pop-up hell' and I've seen sites that only throw up 2-3 windows at most.
(I've joined sites that kept that sh** to a minimum)

The sites that I've joined in the past, have limited their circlejerking to a minimum.

I realize that 'pop-ups' sell, etc, etc.... but there comes a time when they're not needed. The more pop-ups you create, the more you make your customer aware that if they're going to look for porn, they're going to need to purchase software that stops the popups from happening..hey..this would be a good product to cross sell! :)

WAY too many spelling and other mistakes in the text. Text is very heard to read at 1280x1024 and the frameset on the left hand side does not display properly at this rez.

It's not eye catching and to me looks a mess. While you're extremely beautiful Desirae, you're not selling your site as you could do - right now it's just a jumble of free pics and a few movies. Give it some structure - the surfers at your site are going to be reading from top to bottom, left to right - give their eyes something to look at in key spots on the page. Make them want to join!

Oh, and warn us next time about the bloody popups! Killed IE6 on WinXP on the first look through.

here's the deal with popups: you gotta have em, but don't start the cycle until AFTER the surfer has made a decision not to join your site.

You don't want to give the surfer more than one path thru the site initially, and that path must lead to your join page with no opportunities to jump ship until they get there i.e. no links out of the site. Don't pop the exit console until they close the window on your site, or just pop one behind the main window so they'll see it already loaded when they close the window on your site.

you want to try to fleece the lambs yourself before you send them off to someone else.

You have a great point about the pop ups when sending traffic to my site. Im going to make a link with a sub account from ccbill that will be pop up free for my referal program.

Desirae, you should be aware that "amateur girl" is a category of site, not an insult. I just went to http://www.amateurindex.com, one of the leading amateur girl sites, and I see you're not listed there. If you can conform to their rules, it might be a productive place to be listed.

You actually do your own site, and a lot of the girls listed on Amateur Index have sites put up by website mills that crank out amateur girl sites the way a termite queen cranks out termite eggs.

First, you need to figure out how to get a listing with them. I couldn't find a submission link.

A few too many cliches in the naughtyathome preview, plus the whole tour is sorta confusing. One popup each on enter/exit is ok, the amount you have now will piss off a lot of your visitors, as I'm sure someone has already pointed out.
