I don't have one that explains how to optimize for live.com, but did get an article in my email from an SEO news service that detailed how live.com will be cornering a larger share of search volumes due to the fact that VISTA's built in windows live search feature uses live.com & all the new PCs have VISTA.

People have been navigating to them by years, installing their toolbar, etc. They also have a lot of deals in place with computer retailers like Dell to have their search load up on the homepage.

The search industry isn't going to change because a new OS decides to put a little search box on the desktop.

Well, true that people aren't going to see astronomical changes in search volume, but from where I'm looking at this, those people searching via msn or live.com are potentially NEW users that are not savvy in finding free porn, thus increasing your sales potential.

I suppose the theory behind it is Google surfers are smarter than MSN surfers (who are usually new to PC's/the Internet.. who else would use MSN? their index is shit) who are therefore more likely to click ads, sign-up for stuff without researching and pay over the odds on products/membership as they don't know where else to look.
