O'Reilly stated that perhaps she could get something done on the local level, where hotels in certain cities would not offer adult services to it's guests and she agreed and stated that her organization has had some succes in one city (she named the city but I don't remember it.)

Overall the small segment did not apply to the internet except for LaRue's brief mention of a Cincinnatti couple that was prosecuted and convicted for obscenity violations on the internet. She never stated who the couple was or where they were prosecuted.

The Federal Laws do not supercede the Constituion but they stand until someone challeneges it and takes it to the Supreme Court. I believe that one has already been to the Supreme Court several years ago and the ruling was not in our favor. It is true that our industry has benefited from the "benign neglect" of the Clinton/Reno Department of Justice in the area of Federal Obscenity Prosecutions.. but then again, they turned a blind eye to numerous violations of Federal Law.

I didn't see it, but I am guessing the couple in Cincinatti was the one that was prosecuted for selling her VHS videos. She sold them online, but if memory serves correctly then she was never hassled about her member area - although she did take it offline when the charges were filed.

When someone comes after you LOCALLY, there really isn't much you can do. I'd much rather thave federal charges filed against me.

Yes, right. That's exactly what happened. The only disparaging comment he made towards porn was something about those "crazy" people who get together to fuck in front of a camera as a duo, trio or "whatever."
