I agree with your post in everything,

I love dogs as well.. but at the same rate "you can't stop crying over this" and "donations" is a little askew imho.

I watch Animal Planet a lot with the shoes of Animal Police in different cities. It is crazy what some people do to dogs. I've got one and she is definitely part of the family

Tears of joy and appreciation for what my boss did, makes you a little askew? You have never heard of anyone having tears of joy before? And yes I do cry when I see animals being abused. It hurts me. Is that okay? I am not a big wimp, ask anyone who knows me, I am a tough bitch, but there are certain things in this world that make me so mad I sometimes cry. Anything defenseless and being hurt makes me upset. It?s not like I am curling up in a ball in the corner crying, I get tears in my eyes and a few roll down my face. When I first saw this dog, I cried with several tears, but they were tears of sadness, anger, and motivation. I am a person who likes to get off my ass and do something when I can.

I don?t know if anyone remembers this or not, but there was a bitch who was walking out of a Target with her cute little girl and when she put the little girl in her car seat she just smack the shit out of her about 4 or 5 times, a smack that would have hurt a grown human. I fucking cried right there. I cried out of anger and pain for that little girl. If I saw that, you would have to pull me off that bitch! When I see an animal who gets hurt I cry too. My Daddy always told me the way a person treats children and animals will tell you what kind of person they are.

What I don?t get is how feeling for animals somehow means a person doesn?t feel for people. I remember this standup comic making a joke about how he and his wife go insane with love over their pet. He said if you don?t feel totally retarded in love with your pet then you are nowhere near ready to give the amount of love needed for a child. For those who do not understand what he means, he is not saying the love is the same, he is saying that you won?t be able to handle the amount of love it takes to raise a child, meaning it takes more love. Just thought I would clarify that before someone says something stupid on that comment.

Also I am not directing this whole post towards you, I am just making a point about other comments, and to people who have jumped on me in threads like this that I have made in the past. I know you love dogs and I know you are not trying to be an ass, so please do not take my post as being an ass to you.

Oh I can't watch those shows. I get so upset. Every now and again I catch parts of one because I watch Animal Planet too, and these people left these two beautiful Doberman Pinscher puppies in that back yard with no food and water. One of the puppies was dead and stiff as a board. The other one survived but the owners had cut his ears to stand up and since he was left alone outside the ears became infected.

If I was that cop, knowing where those people live, I would stalk them and make their lives a living hell. I can't handle it. I get way to emotional and way to angry. Some people shouldn't live, and the sad thing about it is most of them have kids. You can only imagine how neglected those kids are too.

That is what burns me so much, that dog gave nothing but love and loyalty even when she was being treated that way. The lady said she barely eats and when they give her anything, and they try everything, when she eats it she gives them soft kisses because she is so weak. That is her way of saying thank you. That breaks my heart. I can't see how anyone can hurt something that just wants to love and protect you. OH I get so mad.

But now she will have love and a home. I am not only going to help her get better but I am also going to hunt to find her the perfect home. I won't give up until the mission is complete. I know I can't save all the animals. That?s impossible, but the ones that come into my life, I will do everything I can to help!

Please keep us informed of how she is doing. I think it is great that you care about her and are raising money to help take care of her medical needs. I wish more people did that. I have fostered several dogs that have been all been from hellish conditions. To watch them change over the months and then see them go to great homes is so wonderful. You have a great heart and are very caring. It is so nice to see that, sometimes it seems the world is so cold.

"I DO" hehe

That sounds like a great deal. I would love to spend my days doing nothing but helping animals but I would need an income to help keep me beautiful, which you could provide, as I do my job. hehe

You got it hun! I will post updates on her until she is adopted.

And thank you for being a foster Mommie. I would love to do that, but now I have two German Shepherds and the male doesn't like other dogs so it's hard for me to do that. But I will keep donating time and money. I also transport dogs to other shelters all the time. So I do what I can to help. You are a good person for helping out!

OK, I already have the ring, is a 2 carat solitaire good enough?

I'm sure you would look real beautiful in a thong laying out by our pool full of dogs and cats.

We can have a big kennel out in the back 40.

With hi tec self cleaning pens and big green fields for them to run and be happy.

Maybe even start our own TV show and put Cesar Milan out of business :-)

Of course all this depends on if Ricky and Lucy accept you. I'm sure they will though.

Loryn, bless you and your kind heart! I love animals and I really hope that this animal gets healthy and adopted to a wonderful home! Dogs are so beautiful and kind hearted, rarely are there dogs that are just plain mean. And if they are, it's a result of their owners and abuse 9 times out of 10.

I am sorry for the dog, but honestly when there are humans in this world (and not 1 or 2) in the same position I kind of feel a bit odd really caring. Imaging being that kid with your ribs showing and seeing some "animal rights" moron campaigning for a DOG, placing a DOG on a higher level of importance than you. I mean you eat fucking cows, chickens, duck, lamb, etc etc and don't even blink about them being killed. Put a bullet in the dogs head and direct your good intention toward a human.

we all do that with our tax money
i gave irs 60k last year
it's not my fault they spent it on the wrong things

animals don't get food stamps and most animal shelters are funded by the private sector

Why would you feel odd caring about an abused dog? You can care about animals and humans both, you do not have to pick one or the other. Just because people choose to give money to animal causes does not mean they also do not donate to homeless shelters or food banks. I know I donate to both and I am sure other people on here do too.

I'd rather send money to Loryn for this than to any of the other idiots I've donated money to before only to have them run off with it. Loryn please make another thread when you have epass set up and I'll send some money. I love my dog more than I can say, some people just don't get what it is about dogs that make them so special.

When I wake up in the morning my dog is there all happy and wanting to play. If he's bad and I need to put him to bed to teach im a lesson or yell at him... 5 mins later he's happy with me if I want to play with him. He never gets pissy with me, never disobeys me (apart from some silly things) and guarenteed he always puts a smile on my face no matter how bad a day I'm having. That is priceless!

Thank you very much. I will for sure post my epass when it is up and send it you. Ina will be very happy and like I said I will post updates on her and I am not stopping at just making her healthy, I am going to make sure she finds her new family as well. Together we will make her life worth living and one day when a family is looking at their beautiful Ina they will know that someone out there, meaning us, helped her so they could the love of a loyal dog. (Family member) Oh damn here I go with tears again.

I will post my epass plus send it privately to everyone who requested epass.

Keeping fighting Ina, I'm coming. Well I should say we're coming, I am just standing in for all of us!!!

You hit the nail on the head with that comment. Dogs are not naturally mean, they are taught that by humans, or treated in a way that causes them to become aggressive. I have read several books about dog packs and dogs in packs never hurt each other, they teach each other and compete for alpha dog but they understand that they are a pack and they understand that if one of them does not do their part they could all die.

The sad thing with Ina is she is not aggressive or an alpha dog, so when she was abused she took it and took it and took it because in dog psychology her owner was the alpha of her pack and what he did she followed because her instincts tell her that is how she survives. This is why I get so pissed at people who hurt these animals. Anyone who can look at an animal or child and see them follow them, look up to them, and want their love and all they do it kick it, hurt it, and starve it, they are a psycho path. They are a person with nothing inside them and nothing to offer society but pain, and money to clean up their mess or support them in jail. FUCKERS SHOULD BE SHOT!

Okay okay I am off that I will get all upset right now. This thread is about helping Ina so if anyone wants to donate to help her my paypal is:

Paypal: [email protected]

This thread is also about people doing what they can in their neighborhoods to help animals and children who are defenseless from any assholes around them. Like JaneB just said people can do many things at once. I donate to animals, I rescued two adult German Shepherds, two kitties, and I have saved a bearded dragon, two litters of kittens and the mother, and a bird that drives Baddog nuts. Plus after my first born child, (3 to 4 years from now) I am adopting an AMERICAN toddler who is unwanted. I am also looking into being a big sister to a little girl in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas. I didn't want to mention that because I don't like to jinks things until I know for sure it can happen, but when I find out more I will for sure let you know and post pictures. Well I will have to think about that one, posting pictures that is. haha

Anyway fight for Ina, any amount is not too small. Like I said in my original post $20 here and $20 there all adds up. $20 for 20 people is $400. Poor Ina is so starved they have to feed her anything and everything just to get her insides working again. I know there are more proper words but when I write them out it just reminds me of how sick her little body is.

If you don't like people helping abused dogs, then there are 100 threads on the first page of GFY where you can go and bitch about other things in the world you hate or don't understand. It's called Go Fuck Yourself so Go Fuck Yourself and find something else to hate on. Hating on things is so fucking easy, it's getting off your ass and helping things that is hard. Being a hater is not hard work, but we do need them, just ask Kat Williams, he says it best!!!

Good Luck to ya, and no hard feelings. I know I wouldn't be doin' it right if I didn't have a hater around!!! (another Kat Williams quote)

Fact: people in western countries spend more money on pets than they do on saving the lives of babies in developing countries.

Developing countries choose to be dumb and poor (Africa)

Animals can not help themselves.

You can start your own thread if you want to help developing countries.

And it's not even a question in my mind. I spend enough money on my rescued dogs each month to feed an entire village in Africa. I'd never even consider sending money to be wasted in such a manner.

The World needs a few less people as far as I'm concerned.

FACT: I would spend $1000 to save a single kitten before I would save a whole village of starving African children.

You want to help the starving children of third world countries? Have at it. Fuck you for judging anyone's choice of charities.

So you actually think it's a good thing that innocent children die horrible deaths through no fault of their own simply because they were born in certain locations, while idiots who have the luck of being born in a rich country waste resources they gained through neither skill nor intelligence on fostering a system which consistently breeds a glut of pets?

You are one of the few, as far as I'm concerned

Ah well, a few more years and China will be the world's dominant power, and resources will be spent on breeding dogs for food instead of company.

Of course, the world's underprivileged children will keep dying horrible, meaningless deaths no matter who holds power in the world. But who cares about such trivialities, anyway. It's no business of mine what idiots do with their money.

Though I must admit, I find it somewhat amusing that if history is any indication, one day your grandchildren, or maybe their grandchildren, will starve to death because the balance of power in the world will have shifted, and the descendants of the children whose pictures I posted will have turned out to be the same kind of disgusting scum that you are. What a wonderful world we live in

Then spacedog is libertine.

They both yammer on incessantly about their off-the-wall ideals. Both of them seem equally capable of having a heated argument with an ICQ bot.

So Libertine, I take it then you live on only the bare essentials of life so that you can send every extra penny you can come by to help starving children in developing nations?

Oh, wait, what's that? You like to have some luxuries in your life? Well then you're not doing everything in your power to help the starving children! Are you selfish or something?

The fact of the matter is those starving children, if they grow up, will continue a pattern of failure known as tribalism. The only thing they will ever produce is more disease and more starving children. Or, if they're lucky, they'll find Islam and find a nice junjaweed rape gang to call a family of their own.

Sorry, I'm a survival of the fittest type of guy. I don't question why or how or by what strike of luck I happened to land amongst the strong. I simply continue the natural order of things.

If anything, we should take a page from animal medicine and start an euthanasia program amongst humans.

Of course I'm selfish. Moreover, I'm a cynical, nihilistic misanthropist.

I didn't post here to guilt you all into donating money to impoverished children, I posted here to utter my bafflement at the self-congratulating circle jerk in this thread.

Dozens of imbeciles flocking together to spend relatively huge amounts of resources on taking care of a dog, while billions of humans and animals in the world are suffering, thousands of which could be helped with those same resources. And then, they actually praise each other for their selflessness and generosity.

The image is of an almost surreal beauty, so wondrously ludicrous, yet at the same time so descriptive of human morality, that I can't help but marvel at the utter madness mankind.

And as if the thought of Loryn sitting behind her computer, tears in her eyes, overwhelmed by emotion as she rescues a dog, possibly still full from the roast beef sandwich she had for lunch (please, let it be so!) wasn't enough, you come in. Professing beliefs that would make Hitler's chest fill with joy, backed up by people who proudly proclaim that they value the life of a single kitten over that of dozens of children.

It's a thing of beauty, most certainly. A twisted sort of beauty, perhaps, but beauty no less.

Survival of the fittest does not mean what you think it does.

But that aside, you did not land among the strong, you landed among the lucky. Of course, if you decide to take survival of the luckiest as your moral code, who am I to question you?

Although I have no choice but to question just how firm you are in your beliefs. Those African children happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Therefore, according to you, they deserve to die.

Chances are that one day, one of your loved ones - maybe one of your own children? - will be in the wrong place at the wrong time as well. So when your daughter happens to find herself sharing a spot on a sidewalk with 2000 lbs of twisted metal driven there by a drunken idiot, will you chalk it up to survival of the luckiest?

Will you respect the choice of the passers-by, who decide that to take care of her bleeding body would merely continue a pattern of failure known as wasting resources on lost causes unlikely to ever contribute something meaningful to society again?

Know what? I bet you would. You seem like the straight-talking, stand-up kind of guy who stands by his principles no matter what

I don't see anything mad about it at all. After all no one can save the world, even if they had Bill Gates' money. Pretty much all any one can do is love their own family, their close friends and the handful of pets that come in and out of their lives for the finite period of time that any one person has on the planet. As for the other billions of people and animals languishing in poverty or misery and unable to help themselves there isn't much to be done other than donate a few bucks to the Red Cross or some animal organization and hope the money gets well spent. Other than that they are on their own.

Seriously, sometimes I wonder why are there so many negative aholes on this board?! is it cause they r miserable and want to inject their misery into every single fn thread.. even a thread aimed at saving an innocent animal? it makes you feel "a bit odd" caring.. and you think they should put a "bulet in the dog's head" wow.. you must be an real hoot to hang out with, you seem to have an amazing personality. LOL.. what a DOUCHE.

Good luck with your dog hun, I saved mine 7 years ago, he has cost be thousands of dollars since then but I have never regretted one penny. Animals are complete innocents, and they don't deserve to be abused or suffer. What you are doing is a great thing you are a sweety

Have a great weekend everyone

There are adults as well, now if they landed that way as a result of their own decisions I have no sympathy, but many do not. I had spinal surgery about a year and a half ago and as lucky as I was to have pretty decent insurance it still cost me a LOT of money, I mean a lot....I'm still paying the bills.

Had I not had insurance and resources to pay I'd currently be in worse shape than that dog.

My point here, is don't lose track of the reality that in the long run, people are more important than animals, specially children. Don't forget them when you get all misty over an emaciated canine.
I think you are missing the point. As humans we have a responsibility to care for all creatures. Some people spend quality time saving dogs, some raise money for cancer, some build schools in 3rd world countries. Some teach adults to read, and some spend time reading to the elderly. There are people who spend their lives trying to save animals from going extinct. We should commend anyone who will spend their time and efforts helping make this world a better place. Perhaps instead of complaining that there are more deserving children, you could step away from your keyboard and make THAT your cause. Spend your efforts doing something good for this world, instead of trying to control what good others try to do

You are absolutely right. One cannot save the world by oneself. One has to make choices, and set priorities.

Selfishness, choosing oneself and one's loved ones, that I can understand. It might not be particularly admirable, but it makes sense.

The madness comes into play when people choose to engage in a certain amount of philanthropy, but value the life of a single kitten over that of an entire village of starving children in a third world country. That madness becomes positively surreal when they are actually proud of making such choices.

It does explain certain things, though. For example, the mindset of WarChild is not particularly different from that of the arabs who were celebrating in the streets on 9/11. In both cases, people apparently cease to view those living in geographically distant locations and different cultures as humans. They are, quite literally, seen as beings of less intrinsic value than the average house dog.

When one realizes this, it suddenly makes a lot more sense that people engage in war, terrorism and even genocide. They simply fail to acknowledge others as human beings, in the most literal sense.
