Anyone ever have problems with one eye twitching?

My left eye has had an odd twitch for about 2 weeks now. I don't think the ladyboys shitting on the couch has anything to do with it, nobody has pissed in it, no skull fucking... but I am getting a little uneasy about it as it's happening more and more.

I don't trust a Thai eye doctor and I won't be back in the USA for a little while yet.

Any GFY eye doctors in the house?

Is it the eyelid twitching? If so that's a very common condition -- check out this article from NLM/NIH about it. Some good info there.

Fuck me... just reading on that page linked above that it could be because of caffeine.

Well guess who just started drinking coffee 2 weeks ago. I never put the two together.

Why Does My Eye Twitch?

* Fatigue or lack of sleep
* Over consumption of caffeine
* Physical or emotional stress
* Anxiety or phobias
* Brain damage or other neurological disorders
* Associated with temper tantrums (especially in children)
* Eye stress associated with extended viewing of the computer screen
* Epilepsy
* Thai tranny talking shit about you behind your back

I had that problem a year ago for a couple weeks, at various times it would twitch very fast. It eventually just faded away.

My cheek muscle just below my eye twitches whenever I have to speak before crowds larger than a few hundred people, so your problem may be stress related as mine is.

It's probably a good idea to get it checked out now just to make sure there is not a physical problem. If it is something needing surgery, then go under the knife where you trust the medical staff rather than a Thai doctor.

Much the same here although it lasted a couple of months before vanishing.

I had/have that problem. Also had/have muscle twitching in my arms. About 2 years later I went numb on half of my torso. Turned out I had multiple sclerosis. You most probably don't, but if things keep getting worse, things start turning numb then steer the doctor towards it or you could go years with false diagnosis.

I've been shooting a ton as of late. Wonder if it's related to that. Strain on the eye.

Or the coffee.

had the same problem.. doctor said it could be something about rubbing your eye when you're tired, and screwing with the nerves a bit in the eye

There are a few things which will cause your eyelid to twitch or tremble. Lack of sleep, prolonged period with irregular or erratic sleeping hours, and Blepharitis.

Probably both. Caffeine is evil, I drink decaf and and I can still feel the caffeine in it.

Exactly.

I used to have the SAME problem. It was happening like crazy last winter. I talked to eye doctor they said it could be lack of potasium, or too much time in front of computer. It is eye fatigue.

I changed diet, updated prescription in glasses (astigmatism), actually took breaks and lunches away from machine, and tada. No more twitching.

To have it happen to 2 weeks. Either you're exhausted or dehydrated. If not you could just be developing a twitch which is worth having checked out.

Load up on calcium and magnesium supplements. Both are implicated in muscle twitching and are depleted by coffee consumption.

I'll bet it's just from overusing your eyes. I get that when I spend a few marathon sessions working at the PC.

For quick help. A warm compress on your eye for about 15 minutes really helps. The eye area is the fastest healing area on your whole body. If you give it a bit of help, it will take care of itself. But try to take a day or two off.
