Anyone ever have problems with one eye twitching?

My left eye has had an odd twitch for about 2 weeks now. I don't think the ladyboys shitting on the couch has anything to do with it, nobody has pissed in it, no skull fucking... but I am getting a little uneasy about it as it's happening more and more.

I don't trust a Thai eye doctor and I won't be back in the USA for a little while yet.

Any GFY eye doctors in the house?

beemk 09-22-2008 03:39 PM

is it your eyelid? that is caused by stress... not an actual eye problem

Is it the eyelid twitching? If so that's a very common condition -- check out this article from NLM/NIH about it. Some good info there.

Fuck me... just reading on that page linked above that it could be because of caffeine.

Well guess who just started drinking coffee 2 weeks ago. I never put the two together.

GFY eye doctors rock!!!

Why Does My Eye Twitch?

* Fatigue or lack of sleep
* Over consumption of caffeine
* Physical or emotional stress
* Anxiety or phobias
* Brain damage or other neurological disorders
* Associated with temper tantrums (especially in children)
* Eye stress associated with extended viewing of the computer screen
* Epilepsy
* Thai tranny talking shit about you behind your back

HomerSimpson 09-22-2008 03:46 PM

its your eye nerve...
you need to get some rest or go away from computer...
watch something else on different distance at different angle...

lazycash 09-22-2008 03:47 PM

I had that problem a year ago for a couple weeks, at various times it would twitch very fast. It eventually just faded away.

mikeyddddd 09-22-2008 03:48 PM

My cheek muscle just below my eye twitches whenever I have to speak before crowds larger than a few hundred people, so your problem may be stress related as mine is.

It's probably a good idea to get it checked out now just to make sure there is not a physical problem. If it is something needing surgery, then go under the knife where you trust the medical staff rather than a Thai doctor.

Much the same here although it lasted a couple of months before vanishing.

Tat2Jr 09-22-2008 03:59 PM

I had/have that problem. Also had/have muscle twitching in my arms. About 2 years later I went numb on half of my torso. Turned out I had multiple sclerosis. You most probably don't, but if things keep getting worse, things start turning numb then steer the doctor towards it or you could go years with false diagnosis.

DWB 09-22-2008 03:59 PM

I've been shooting a ton as of late. Wonder if it's related to that. Strain on the eye.

Or the coffee.

had the same problem.. doctor said it could be something about rubbing your eye when you're tired, and screwing with the nerves a bit in the eye

Spunky 09-22-2008 04:10 PM

You have a brain tumor :(

CamTraffic 09-22-2008 04:45 PM

There are a few things which will cause your eyelid to twitch or tremble. Lack of sleep, prolonged period with irregular or erratic sleeping hours, and Blepharitis.

Probably both. Caffeine is evil, I drink decaf and and I can still feel the caffeine in it.

Exactly.

I used to have the SAME problem. It was happening like crazy last winter. I talked to eye doctor they said it could be lack of potasium, or too much time in front of computer. It is eye fatigue.

I changed diet, updated prescription in glasses (astigmatism), actually took breaks and lunches away from machine, and tada. No more twitching.
:thumbsup

Iron Fist 09-22-2008 06:43 PM

Stop looking at illegal porn and the twitching should stop....

Manowar 09-22-2008 06:44 PM

hours in front of the PC does it to me

teg0 09-22-2008 07:17 PM

To have it happen to 2 weeks. Either you're exhausted or dehydrated. If not you could just be developing a twitch which is worth having checked out.

Useless Warrior 09-22-2008 07:23 PM

It's probably just AIDS or cancer.

You haven't been consuming Chinese powdered formula lately, have you?

Defiance Inc 09-22-2008 07:51 PM

My muscles twitch when I'm dehydrated.

Load up on calcium and magnesium supplements. Both are implicated in muscle twitching and are depleted by coffee consumption.

mynameisjim 09-22-2008 08:51 PM

I'll bet it's just from overusing your eyes. I get that when I spend a few marathon sessions working at the PC.

For quick help. A warm compress on your eye for about 15 minutes really helps. The eye area is the fastest healing area on your whole body. If you give it a bit of help, it will take care of itself. But try to take a day or two off.

F-U-Jimmy 09-22-2008 09:08 PM

I have had twitches of the eyelid, below the eyelid, twitches in my legs and arms. Im sure its normal as so many people get this from time to time. But dont get medical advice from GFY, if you are worried visit your Dr :thumbsup

joefriday 09-22-2008 09:15 PM

Yeah I always thought it was lack of sleep too.

dozey 09-22-2008 09:18 PM

Caffeine occasionaly causes twitches in my arms and eyes, ends within 60s though.

PornAddict 09-22-2008 10:20 PM

I had that and it was definitely due to stress.

GAMEFINEST 09-22-2008 10:24 PM

V_RocKs 09-23-2008 02:15 AM

Only when I am lying.

Or up on crack cocaine for long periods of time.

Sarah_Jayne 09-23-2008 02:18 AM

It will happen a couple times a year or so for me and is really annoying at the time but then I forget about it.

nAtuRaLbEautY 09-23-2008 08:29 AM

Thanks for having this thread dirtywhiteboy. I'm having the same problem right now and im about to start a thread about this one. This helps. :)

I think we need more rest.
