Finally back in the NYC

For the last 4 years I have lived in South Florida. Decided it was time to move back to the Big Apple. Today is my first day back just getting settled into my new apartment. It is in downtown Manhattan a couple blocks away from where the world trade center was. In the park across from my building they are having a big memorial. I drove past the World Trade Center about 1/2 hour before the planes hit on my way to New Jersey. These are some pictures that i took. I am not a photographer by any means. These are just with my regular digital camera.

This is a big board for people to come and sign.

This has all the names of the people who were on the flights and on the planes.

Flags with the names of the victims

Picture of my building from the memorial site

Some people dressed as the Statue of Liberty ( Statue is visible from the park)

Boots from firefighter on the scene of 9-11, they had the lost firefighters names on the side

This sculpture was in between the two towers, you can see the top is damaged from things falling on it.

Here you can see the damage on the back of the sculpture

A great picture

TOo much of those memories, flags, statues, etc...out in NY...kind of depressing when i see it all the time....they need to town it down a little not to remember too much of lost ones...its like rubbing it against our faces...i love NY!

I just moved from NYC to Florida again (for the third time)... been here about a month and am extremely homesick. I can't wait to move back in a couple years.

I'd love to be back in the city. Thankfully it's not too far and I can visit whenever I want.

haha, thank you man, no pizza yet. I will head into Brooklyn over the weekend to get the real deal. Brick oven pizza from Totonno's in Coney Island

Some guys playing the bagpipes to start the ceremony

This is the head of the transit authority, I moved away for a second to take a phone call and when I came back the crowd was huge, this is the closest I could get

In that particular building overlooking battery park I'd say like 1600 a month for 350 square feet
