Finally back in the NYC
For the last 4 years I have lived in South Florida. Decided it was time to move back to the Big Apple. Today is my first day back just getting settled into my new apartment. It is in downtown Manhattan a couple blocks away from where the world trade center was. In the park across from my building they are having a big memorial. I drove past the World Trade Center about 1/2 hour before the planes hit on my way to New Jersey. These are some pictures that i took. I am not a photographer by any means. These are just with my regular digital camera.
This is a big board for people to come and sign. http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00432.JPG This has all the names of the people who were on the flights and on the planes. http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00434.JPG Flags with the names of the victims http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00436.JPG Picture of my building from the memorial site http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00437.JPG Some people dressed as the Statue of Liberty ( Statue is visible from the park) http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00439.JPG Boots from firefighter on the scene of 9-11, they had the lost firefighters names on the side http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00441.JPG This sculpture was in between the two towers, you can see the top is damaged from things falling on it. http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00444.JPG Here you can see the damage on the back of the sculpture http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00447.JPG A great picture http://www.supzinc.com/images/9-11-m...l/DSC00445.JPG |
TOo much of those memories, flags, statues, etc...out in NY...kind of depressing when i see it all the time....they need to town it down a little not to remember too much of lost ones...its like rubbing it against our faces...i love NY!

In that particular building overlooking battery park I'd say like 1600 a month for 350 square feet
