If you want to go the paysite route, I'd say study the more successful "non mega site" outfits out there--- ultrawired.com exploiteedteenasia.com blacksonblondes.com If you study them close enough, you'll see a pattern they all share. I wouldn't rush to building an affiliate program until you've completely engineered your sites to convert at a certain rate--going affiliate program early may backfire with high volume but low converting webmasters cheapening your program's rep bc your sites don't convert/retain. To get traffic, I would set aside some of that money and pay outfits like GSS to submit your site for you to TGPs. Good luck!

GFED -- > I think that with 10K it is possible to do it, but it requires smooth moves and some good business sense. Firstly, your financial backer. He has to look at this as any regular business opportunity. He has to understand that yes, the money should be remade within X months, but there is ALWAYS the possibility that he will lose the 10K and maybe need to put in more because of some unexpected crap. Like the Visa thing that happened a month ago would've set you back a grand. You should NOT lead your backer into thinking this is guaranteed money.
As for how to spend the cash, it depends what deals you can swing first. THe PRIORITY is finding content and a theme. For 10K, I'd go with a very personal site, following one model. If you want an old example, look at Brunob.com it's not really original anymore, but this experience can be repeated for a low price with some good business sense. The hosting is where you need to plan carefully. For Graphics, there's ALWAYS ways of getting low cost graphics if you search enough. There's ALWAYS a good artist looking to beef up their portfolios. Same for the web design. While $1000k USD is a standard price for a cookie cutter site, it can be done differently for cheaper if you can swing it. Good luck man! ![]()

Thanks for everyone's opinions. I'm coming up with a plan/proposal for it now.

I think you may be better off starting 3-5 little paysites with specific themes. For example: group sex, pantyhose, pee, voyeur, wrestling/catfight, smoking, public, medical, shaving, etc. But 1-2 bigger ones of those themes would work too.
We have those types of content, and much more unusual types too : ) |
