photographers pleas read....

my grandpa gave me this light meter he found but i tried using it and have no idea on how to use it or mabye its broken. i fucked around with the buttons but nothing happened. i have an olympus c-4040. do i even need one of these anyways? heres a pic of it.

Is it a direct of incident light meter?

There should be settings for iso(film speed), shutter?

If you set those, and hit the big button, then FLASH your lights, it'll tell you what aperature the lights are set at. like, F8? F5.6, etc etc. Set your aperature on your lens to that, and you should have proper/decent exposure. I think. I've only had to use a light meter, like, once.

i have no idea what kind it is, i just got the light meter and the case with no instructions. thanks for the help though.

haha nah im just taking photography class right now... i havent done any content shooting yet. i wanna learn some more shit first.

Forgot to mention, went into LFP while in the US last week. Sold them three sets and got next months front cover of Barely Legal.

no wonder, cause itīs not a light meter at all. itīs one of those electronic deodorant devices that came out in the late 70s ...
