What are your lunch plans for today?
Okay, so the day has just started for a lot of you but it is approaching lunch time here. What are your lunch plans today? Going out or eating at your desk and what is on the menu?
I am eating at my desk (pretty much always the deal when I am working at home) and it will be a big veggie salad and a cup of carrot and coriander (cilantro) soup. You? |

Well it is ass crack early still and have yet even slept.
When it comes to that time though, I will be taking advantage of the vegetation in season right now. Namely the tomatoes and peaches. Because once they are gone well for the tomatoes at least I will not be eating them again until next year unless they were preserved. Peaches can be both canned and frozen so all good there. Thinking maybe a BLT with a side salad and perhaps some peaches and berries. Might be able to use the mandolin to slice some squash, cucumber, and onion super thin and dress that with some lemon or other citrus and oil for the salad. Ya sound good since I'm overrun with squash and cucumbers right now. Crap when I get back from Florida there will be squash everywhere and huge ones

Damn. I like your thinking. Something I miss from the states, is the chocolate chip pancakes from IHOP.

Hmmm, I have roast beef sandwich on toasted rye. A small cup of greens and a pint of Ben & Jerry's hidden away in the office chiller.
