I didn't want a sympathy thread, I wanted to just be honest, and come back off the bench I put myself on a couple of years ago.

I am back, and here to stay, bigger, better, faster, and harder.

I am the limit of my own success, it's all very clear to me now.

Now if you all will excuse me, I am going to go out on the lake and try my hand at wakeboarding.

Always wanted to try it, never made the tme for it.

We all have demons that haunt us, some more than others. Sometimes we can never get rid of them and spend a lifetime learning to keep them in their place. We all have inner strength, it is just a matter of believing in it and actually talking to ourselves. Learn how to question your actions and think about why you do the things you do, learn to recognize when you start to slip and teach yourself to dig in your heels and refuse to slide down that barrel.

Reading your post made me cry, because I saw someone I loved in your words and it is too late his time has past, but it isn't too late for you, believe in that and soon you will believe in yourself. I think you do already though, because I see in your words belief that you deserve a second chance to make things right, and that is where it all starts

I remember showing up at his office one day a few years ago, just after my divorce.

He knew things were all fucked up, he was there from the beginning.

He looked at me, pulled out his wallet, gave me, if I remember correctly, all the cash he had in there (I want to say it was a couple of hundred dollars), and his American Express card.

He told me he knew I was good for it, and to go handle what I needed to, and nothing would be a problem.

That's the kind of guy he is, and just one example where he was there for me.

Louis has a heart of gold, and wears it on his sleeve, Tical is the same way. Tom the same.

All, just good, strong, solid, intelligent, capable people.

I admire them both, and hope one day I can be half the men they have been for me.

Sorry to hear about your friend, that had to be rough.

I pictured myself being, "that guy". In fact my nickname around here for many many months, was, "That Guy", seriously.

I remember one night, couple or three weeks ago, laying in bed, and wondering what people would say or think about me if I were gone. If I went one step over the line, one too many times.

I realized I had at least a few people who couldn't have cared less, but that made me feel worse, because I needed closure. I would not let anything else get in my way of making things right.

Family, friends, business. It all has to be fixed, and I have plenty of tools and experience to do so now.
