PNG fix for transparency in older browsers.

Anyone have a good one? I have a couple javascripts that fix the alpha issues in older IEs when using PNGs, but they tend to cause problems with other javascripts on the page.

What do you use?

Holy fuck.... thats an awesome way to bloat a page +20-40%!

Gotta love IE... why again are we using transparent PNG? Did .GIF sell you out or something?

Another vote for the twinhelix fix.
I've been using it for about 2 years now with no problems. Generally selectively call it from CSS.

Because transparant PNG's can be 24 bit.....gif is only 8 bit

I heard in an interview with the guys that did Objective-J that they did a pixel by pixel call to handle background transparency in browsers that didn't support alpha layers. Might want to google it.
