PNG fix for transparency in older browsers.
Anyone have a good one? I have a couple javascripts that fix the alpha issues in older IEs when using PNGs, but they tend to cause problems with other javascripts on the page.
What do you use? |
i just use pongs
|
this has worked in ie..
http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/ before... if youre looking for more browsers, not sure |

Cool, thanks! :)

Dean Edwards' "IE7"
|
Code:
<IMG SRC="theimage.png" BORDER=0 STYLE="filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src=theimage.png',sizingMethod='scale');"/> |

Gotta love IE... why again are we using transparent PNG? Did .GIF sell you out or something? |
Another vote for the twinhelix fix.
I've been using it for about 2 years now with no problems. Generally selectively call it from CSS. |
This works much better:
STYLE="filter:upDate.your.browser.you.worthless.ou t.of.date.fuck(src=theimage.png',sizingMethod='sca le') |

I heard in an interview with the guys that did Objective-J that they did a pixel by pixel call to handle background transparency in browsers that didn't support alpha layers. Might want to google it.
