CMS Recommendations -- Which would you chose?

A client posed a question about developing several membership sites...

Which CMS program should he use if he intends to build multiple sites ?

He wants something that is easy to use (upload content to) as well as programmable so that the updates can be scheduled.

Basically he will be starting with 3 sites and adding additional sites later.

He may use several design studios to build the warning, tour, join pages and member pages and wants a CMS that most design firms/people will know how to connect to...

Thanks in advance.....

Our new CMS can do all that and much much more!
It supports all kinds of paysite structures, has a multi-level cache system for increased performances and uses the Smarty template engine so you have total flexibility when designing your templates/pages

Feel free to contact me by icq if you have any questions or need a guide when trying the demo

You can check out www.PaysiteCMS.com
Version 5.0 is the most fully featured software package on the market, it will allow you to run on unlimited servers and create unlimited sites once you expand past the 3 you are originally doing.

We will help you integrate your designs with templates, as well as host your sites if you choose, so it's a one stop solution.

Why all the CMSs have such poor documentation?

It seems like after writing so many programing lines they don´t want to write anymore...

Is there a CMS that most designers/webmasters would know ?

He doesnt want a custom CMS, he would prefer something that is basically an industry standard...

We are looking at Karma but I dont know how universal the NATS program is.

Michael...

Thanks for the call yesterday.
I'm in the process of deciding on a new CMS right now.
Paysite CMS is the gold standard, priced to match.
if your client doesn't want to go in that direction, check out ElevatedX...not as many bells and whistles but still robust, and with a lease option as well.
I haven't decided yet, but that's the way I'm leaning.

You don't want a programmer writing documentation. It either turns into code comments, or goes off on some bizarre tangent or another.. and while it tells you how to do something, it's hardly objective, and the person often doesn't learn what they're doing - just what they have to do to get there.

Here's what you get when coders write docs.

Smoke ... good talkin to you too. And thanks for the recommendations.

PaysiteCMS is a little too rich for this clients wallet but the ElevatedX looks good.

I am still wondering if there's a list of CMS solutions that most designers know how to work with. The client was to get the first 3 sites up and then perhaps bring in other designers for the other sites. Is there a couple of CMS that all designers know how to work with ?
