Considering that he makes $115 million a year, I don't think that he's concerned about making cash on the Champions Tour. To put that into perspective, the next highest paid person in sports in David Beckham at a mere $50 million.

STFU with your hockey references that nobody has ever heard of nor will anybody outside of Canada ever care about.

Golf is seriously not a sport and I consider golfers as much of an "athlete" as those dipshit nascar guys who by the way aren't anywhere close to being an athlete.

Tiger walked MILES with a seriously injured knee and until his publicist released the statement nobody had a clue he was hurt. I know from playing Golf that you tend to bend your knee weird and contort your body in strange ways that normal people simply don't use. I will admit he's tough because it had to hurt like hell....

Also HE never bitched about it and the press needs to tone it down because he's NOT AN FUCKIN ATHLETE! he's a step above those nerdy chess champions and makes shitloads of cash and is an icon because he took a game that absolutely nobody without white hair even gave a shit about and made it a topic of discussion.

Um he actually played 25 hours of golf for the whole US open 5 x 5 hour rounds, walking around 35 to 40 kilometers. As his father said, you will never come across anyone in any walk of life who is mentally tougher than Tiger Woods....

I agree the golf is not a sport. It is a skilled activity. Like bowling or pool. But Tiger is an athlete. The guy is in great shape and I would bet he could be just about any GFY'r at just about any sport they chose.

you're right that he is certainly an athletic guy. I just wouldn't call him a professional athlete.
