I can’t believe how much attention he god with his injury. There were guys that played through out Stanley Cup playoffs with broken bones. Valeri Kharlamov had broken ankle in 1972 series.. Alex Ovechkin had his leg sliced and came back. This guy plays fucking golf. Hardly a sport and he gets the props for being a tough guy. Give him a pacifier.

He got two stress fractures from pushing to hard on his rehab after the scope to clean out the debris and cartridge so he could play in the Memorial. Didn't get the stress fractures from actually golfing.
In fact he better be careful not to overdue it in his rehab when he gets the ACL replaced. Some days in rehab you feel great and start to push it harder than you should and end up setting yourself back. Here is the difference (and I am a big hockey fan and think those guys are some of toughest people on the planet). In hockey you have help. you have other players on the ice with you and in a 60 minute game you will maybe be on the ice for 12-15 minutes of it. If you mess up or make a mistake often there is someone to back you up. A defenseman or a goalie can bail you out if you let a guy go by or if you take a bad penalty your teammates can help you. It is not short order playing that time and doing anything with a broken ankle. But golf is an individual sport. So he went out there with 2 stress fractures and a torn ACL and beat 150 other golfers. He doesn't get a shift off. He doesn't get someone else to take a shot for him. He played every shot of every hole and alone beat over 150 of the best golfers in the world. Whenever you swing a golf club it puts stress on your lead leg so he knew the pain was going to be there but had the mental strength to set that aside and make shot after shot. If he screws up, nobody is there to help.Comment

I have never played on a broken bone (other than playing soccer at recess when I broke my arm in 4th grade) so I can't really know the difference.
Have you? Have you played hockey on a broken ankle? Have you played golf with a torn acl and two stress fractures? I would image no is the answer. you can't know for sure anyone is a pussy or which is a bigger, more impressive achievement until you have done both.Comment

I just know from experience that injuries to your knees like that are painful no matter what you do, let alone playing any sport. Just walking around I wanted to shoot myself in the face rather then continue dealing with it.
