Who does non-adult billing? [for ebooks, or even real world tangible books]

A buddy of mine just wrote a ebook & wants to market it.

I'm trying to find him the best possible rates for processing.

He doesn't do enough "YET" to warrant a merchant so I'm looking to get him hooked up with a 3rd party.

And i want someone who is connected somehow to our industry, so there is some relationship there we can fall back on.

um ccbill has a non adult version. I think its just same sort of backend and they are investors or something like that. Though people like paypal as well as google checkout.

A lot of people use clickbank since it handles affiliates for you as well.

Other ones that are used for mainstream

Clickbank is the best option. You could also try 2checkout.com, they've been around a long time and are reliable.

For ebooks, it doesn't get any better than clickbank. Just push your own product a bit to, ehm, optimize your performance stats and loads of affiliates will start grabbing links for your friends book.

2checkout or paypal are easiest to get setup with if you don't want a real merchant account. What's the ebook? I can get good distribution for you if it's good.

eSellerate (Digital River) - http://www.esellerate.net

They do it all. Order processing & fulfillment, affiliate program, payment processing. No startup fees, no monthly fees, no merchant account required. Their fee is based on a sliding scale of 10-15% for a turnkey set-up.

I've used them since 2001 without a hitch.

ClickBank is the way to go here, for eBooks.

As far as CCNOW, I would have to say to anyone thinking of doing business with them, reconsider. I got screwed out of over $1000 back in 2001 with those guys. I didn't even know they were still in business.

Why not get him a merchant account and we can save him alot of $$ over clickbank, 2checkout or any other 3rd party processor? It is a one page application and a one day approval.

Thanks
