Who does non-adult billing? [for ebooks, or even real world tangible books]

A buddy of mine just wrote a ebook & wants to market it.

I'm trying to find him the best possible rates for processing.

He doesn't do enough "YET" to warrant a merchant so I'm looking to get him hooked up with a 3rd party.

And i want someone who is connected somehow to our industry, so there is some relationship there we can fall back on.

ok someone pointed out www.clickbank.com to me

taking a look at that so far.....cmon guys lets go!

you're making me look bad here to my boy ; )

i told him GFY is the shit for fast replies & good ideas

bump......for those who actually run businesses & aren't here to post pictures of trannys

Linguist 06-16-2008 09:48 PM

clickbank.com period. next step up is merchant account. paypal or clickbank for recurring.

After Shock Media 06-16-2008 09:50 PM

um ccbill has a non adult version. I think its just same sort of backend and they are investors or something like that. Though people like paypal as well as google checkout.

A lot of people use clickbank since it handles affiliates for you as well.
ccbills mainstream processing -> http://www.ecsuite.com/
Other ones that are used for mainstream
http://www.2checkout.com/
http://www.ccnow.com/
http://www.authorize.net/

datatank 06-16-2008 10:07 PM

http://www.clickbank.com/index.html for sure. They have all the affiliates already built in. If his thing sells decent it will be put in the directory

ModelShrines 06-16-2008 10:08 PM

Clickbank is the best option. You could also try 2checkout.com, they've been around a long time and are reliable.

StarkReality 06-16-2008 10:14 PM

For ebooks, it doesn't get any better than clickbank. Just push your own product a bit to, ehm, optimize your performance stats and loads of affiliates will start grabbing links for your friends book.

2checkout or paypal are easiest to get setup with if you don't want a real merchant account. What's the ebook? I can get good distribution for you if it's good.

pr0 06-16-2008 11:55 PM

1 more bump for extra ideas

got some good stuff in here so far!

eSellerate (Digital River) - http://www.esellerate.net

They do it all. Order processing & fulfillment, affiliate program, payment processing. No startup fees, no monthly fees, no merchant account required. Their fee is based on a sliding scale of 10-15% for a turnkey set-up.

I've used them since 2001 without a hitch.

ClickBank is the way to go here, for eBooks.

As far as CCNOW, I would have to say to anyone thinking of doing business with them, reconsider. I got screwed out of over $1000 back in 2001 with those guys. I didn't even know they were still in business.

NETbilling 06-17-2008 12:56 AM

Why not get him a merchant account and we can save him alot of $$ over clickbank, 2checkout or any other 3rd party processor? It is a one page application and a one day approval.

Thanks

I will take you up on that offer. I'll contact you tomorrow around 3pm Pacific time.

No 10k minimums i hope to get the merchant etc.?

camgirlshide 06-17-2008 04:42 AM

why not use google checkout - I'm sure you buy enought adwords from them that you'll never pay a processing fee. You can't beet that.

ManuelX 06-17-2008 05:45 AM

Through our phone and SMS billing system you can charge your customers as well for any product.

pornguy 06-17-2008 05:47 AM

2checkout.com is the one that I have heard of most.
