The case went to court. The girl was 15 which is below age of consent however her case was placed such that she was treated as 16 year as her b-day was 1 month away from the incident. Furthermore the girl had an ongoing sexual relationship with the guy.

The prosecutor, who declined to comment to CNN, concluded that the teen and the 23-year-old had consensual sex, according to the case file."

I hope you are being sarcastic, because actually it happens a lot. Here in holland there were several cases of ~16 year old girls claiming they were gangraped by up to 10 people. All cases/girls were not connected to eachother, just individual actions by them. Couple of months later there would be a small article on page 3 of the paper that she made it all up for attention. If the chick fears there are other victims and that the man is a serial rapist, then I really think there are ways she could contact the other girls without having to go hang out in their neighborhood. It is not wholly unreasonable for law enforcement to tell her the other victims have to come forward and that she should ask them to do so.

The whole part where she is talking about living in poverty her whole life smacks of someone winding her up to have that specific complaint. Of course, someone easily manipulated into repeating someone else's bullet point might not be too hard for a sleazy guy to drug and take advantage of, so I don't think the oddness of that invalidates her story.

It is not wholly unreasonable for law enforcement to tell her the other victims have to come forward and that she should ask them to do so. A couple weeks after the story started getting around, and even made it back to her family, who were less than impressed, she was all of the sudden abducted and raped. Suddenly she was crying out an accusing them of forcing her into a truck and hauling her off, bla bla bla. The parents brought charges against these two guys, who just banged some little drunk skank who wanted a 3way at a party. it went on for well over a year and the entire town generally accepted them as rapists by this point. they couldn't step foot in public without somebody beating the fuck out of them. as the case wound down, FINALLY this little bitch clued in and admitted she was just drunk and she was willing and it was all a show because she didn't want her parents to be mad at her. After a fucking year. The case was dropped. Like 30 years fucking later PEOPLE STILL TREAT THIS GUYS LIKE RAPISTS. Neither one ever got married, neither one really come sinto town much, they were still getting the shit kicked out of them years and years after the chick admitted it was bullshit. One little fucking bitch who didn't want to admit she had one dumb slut streak ruined their entire lives... She was a month from being 16 at which time it is fully legal to give consent - hence the reason the court thru out her complaint. She's just crying foul for attention and to direct any responsibility for her own actions on to somebody else. Do you guys remember what it was like being 16? The sob story about her troubled life has merit and no doubt influenced her in making bad decisions since she didn't have any guidance. But claiming rape when you were engaging in consensual sex isn't right.
