Yes our terms do say that if you modify the script we will not install updates. This would overwrite any changes you made. However even tho you copy/pasted other scripts code into tavs and broke it, did we not STILL go in and fix it for you free?

Okay, this is too much. You are talking about being able to link directly to a submitted sites members area. Submitted site are small avs sites that users submit or you make yourself and have NOTHING to do with our script what so ever! It is the webmaster who owns that avs site to make sure his members area can not be accessed EXCEPT tru the avs system. Every webmaster out there knows this and can tell you how to use .htaccess to do this. Hell WE have explained it countless times. It has NOTHING to do with the bloody script.

Someone mentioned that I am a bit short with a certain customer. Read the above and see what I see every few days from this guy for the past year. Hell yes I am short with him.

Sexfind you are 101% right it seems that every tavs and tavspro owners has a different idea of what their avs system should do. Many of them have me or pc or both do the mods they requested and the others have in-house coders do the mods. In jims case he did both. James hired me for some mods but most where done by the original tavs coder "Guy" and im sure James has done some of the coding himself or had a different coder work on it. (I was also the guy that incorporated tavs standard into James design.) Ageverify (I guess they are oneverify now) was the first site to use totalavs pro and had me and randor (the coder of tavs pro) make many many custom mods that are only used on ageverify. Once ageverify had reached the limits of what I could do they had their in-house coders get with me and they modified the webmaster stats to work with epoch and track Everything! I'm not sure of the extent of the in-house mods because I wasn?t managing them. Mav and Taz are running an unmodified version of tavs pro which did have bugs and the bugs where fixed a while ago.

As for kankan, he bought the tavs standard and had foz install it and I tested it, it was working. It isn?t a near as advanced system as the pro. Not more then a few days later kankan delete over half the script and asked for a reinstall which we did. He then moved his server or lost it and we had to reinstall and guess what he deletes it yet again. This time kankan didn?t want a reinstall he just wanted the script so I asked randor to send it to him. He did but he sent the pro version by mistake ... we then corrected that error by sending the standard version. Kankan tried bastardizing the pro to the standard tavs but it didnt work. ?<kankan> I just try to integrate the topsite on the front page but we never get into the pro version !? Wtf that wasn?t in the standard version it was in the pro only. Finally after many hours of hand holding everything was working great! using ccbills oldest system of passing through the welcome_page, he was happy. Now if you remember back when they avs systems didn?t use or allow any htaccess that is how being used in about every avs system and is built into tavspro. Anyway, kankan wont let us on his server to help him with the code nor does he understand how to set a htaccess up or create a htaccess file. Its fucking ridiculous it really is, and that is why kankan is disliked by so many on the chat boards not just pc.

Brujah the clients aren?t dumb but some of them need more help then others and a few need A LOT of help. Plus, a few of the scripts are very large and sense they aren?t cookie cutter scripts they can get confusing. The vast majority of clients need very little help.

Blaze is a different story; shit went bad ? I tried my hardest as well as taz and it just didn?t work out. Nuc has authorized me to settle with blaze, which blaze and I are doing now. It really is to bad, many folk are using the pro system to make money ? I guess these things happen.

Many folk here have asked how is it that I supported tavs/tavs pro and im not employed by pc. The truth is I managed pc?s accounting and helped Will with the larger accounts in exchange he would give me the design clients for a % of coarse. As of 4 months ago maybe less I ?retired? from pc and everything service related and now just hang around to help with old accounts and collect my retirement. Lol It may sound like a somewhat one-sided arrangement but you have to understand many of the things I do aren?t just for money. I like making money but I also like a good challenge ? and I honestly work my hardest for all my clients. That is why I paid taz to help me with blaze, it tore me up to see an unhappy client. Everyone that has worked with me knows this, I dream about my clients? jobs till I get them right. They also know that the reason I work is to keep my mind fresh, im in an electric wheelchair and classified as a high level quad as far as my movement? I can feel everything (for the gals that are reading this). The internet is my escape. Hopefully that will shed light on some stuff. Will doesn?t tell anyone cause it shouldn?t matter and I don?t either for the same reason.

I'd love to help you out on the Windows app, but I've barely touched Pascal/Delphi in the past 4 years. Played around with it briefly on the web server side, but Borland (or whoever owns them now?) wanted too much for their Enterprise edition, so I started playing with C++, but really didn't have the time to learn that up to an advanced level. In addition, my server runs FreeBSD/Apache/MySql, so I've been slowly trying to convert myself over (programming-wise) to that platform using Perl (but I do miss Borlands fantastic compiler). I can do many elementary-intermediate things in the Perl/FreeBSD world and hopefully soon will complete my first Perl-MySQL program, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing a Windows program for anyone but my own practice. To make my long response short, I don't think I'm the guy, but thanks for the referral.

Well i noticed hits from this tread to my site (hentaikey.com) and wanted to share some info relating to TAVS PRO.

It is a off the shell script and does work if you install it, but like most scripts that I purchase, does not exactly fit to what i want, any webmaster should understand that and know a script has to be configured for the features you want, you can run it the way it is, but then all avs sites have the same features what makes your site like veryone elses sites, what again is common with of the shelf scripts.

As for the security issues, you can run your member area trough ccbill or any cc processor you use, they all offer password-login access and you need to Htaccess your member folder, as for the sites its up to the webmaster to do so, unless you host all other webmasters sites then you can add the Htaccess file on to the server directly.

Also like any other script/software you get there will be always glitches and bugs to be worked out, and offcours you need to configure it for what you want, I worked an E-mail affiliate script in to the avs script and changed the directory tree to what I like.

Overall this is the best of the shell avs script i found, i got the other ones but they have absolutly no features, if you put some work in to the script, you need to understand some coding, then you can get it to work as a complete avs script.

my payout/ fraud checker functions do work also webmaster stats/add sites/edit sites/ expire user scripts do work, however we decited to expire users manualy, not because of the script but because the billing proccesor will let users cancel/rebill and there is no way for the script to retieve that information unless you billing processor send that information to the avs script, what is rarely the case.

The Support is a little slow sometimes but in the end Ryan always has ome true for me and fixed the issues we had, even after modifying the script ryan and william always helped out, and yes I modifyed the script a lot, added other scripts to work in conjunction with the TAVS PRO script, what also caused some issues that mostlikely were my fault for changing all the config/ template files.

It's pretty bad. Fairly aweful indeed. The other "premade" AVS script is worse.
Be careful though, you could easily spend a few thousand dollars and get soemthing almost as bad.
My perspective -
I was hired to come in a fix an AVS that used it. I've rewritten most of the code.

I couldn´t find one usefull domain within the system, but best thing was that none of the domains were available. and they did not update the database for many month. maybe things have changed now, but I am still waiting on anyone recommending this company ...

Actually 1.5 years ago is about right. We lost root server access and ended up closing the site down. The site was reopened about 6 months ago with all new systems in place. Funkmaster, drop me an email and I will be happy to give you a free month membership to find out if it rocks :thumbsup

Thread had nothing to do with blaze. Pimplink asked simply if anyone used tavs and their experiences. I think that has been well answered.
