Do you allow your affiliates access to your members area?

Would like to know if its common to allow access to your members area for your affiliates to grab what content they wish to advertise with, or to make sure there is no extra upsells/zango etc going on?

I prefer not to give out access unless there's dire need.

Some companies don't have a problem with it at all. Others would prefer you send a few joins first which is only fair.

So how many joins, would you then consider providing access? 1... for 10.... or 100?

why not, let them see it is a real site and not just 6 videos. I'm sure if you have a well known site it would be different but ours being a real homemade site we would like to show it off. Hell watch the videos and tell us what you think

If they are actually sending traffic, there is really no reason not to give them a 1 week trial...

It really depends on a webmaster. Webmaster who sends steady joins - sure thing. Very good reason - sure thing. BS reason 0 traffic hmmmm may be not.

Yes, we set our affiliates up with a (temp) password, it's renewed as long as they continue to use our content for promotional purposes.
If it is abused, we will disable the account....

Email or icq me (with aff id) for access
(hundies and adultplayersclub exclusive content)

- If you have a legit tube site and would like 2 minute clips of some of the best exclusive content around, email or icq.
(Have some great banners in all sizes to go along with.)

Here are some clips on snizzshare

We feel much the same as everyone else on this. Someone who has sent a few joins or steady traffic or someone with a review site then thats fine we will hook up a temporary login for them.

The affiliate just has to ask.

if i don't know them, I'll usually ask them to tell me some more about them and how they promote. Also, to show examples and give some references of people who we might know in common. It's not rude to dig a little and usually a little is all it takes to recognize if they're for real or not.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I am concerned about what this degrads the value of your content, if you allow your affiliates have access to your site, and the content is spread around more on the net, compared to the content that you have setout in your affiliate program.

Does this lower the value of your subscription to the customer?

Would you take the same approach to amateur sites, where they don't shoot as much content as big sites?

We will definitely allow our affiliates a peek at the members. Why not? We are proud of what we have to offer our members.

It really depends on your market share/growth. If you depend on affiliates for traffic and sales, then of course you will need to make sure you have what they need to sell. Also how hungry you are for people to promote your product. If you're doing fine, then you can be more selective to who is allowed access to your content for promotion. There have been plenty of companies that get hard up for promotion and try to give everything out to everyone.

If it's a smaller amateur/solo style site, it depends on your content, the niche, the exclusivity (rareness) of it. Content quantity generally isn't as much of a factor, but the lacking of variety in solo sites can be an issue for submitters. But it all falls back to the type of promotion the affiliate does and the use for the content. If it's a submitter, they need to have fresh content to send out daily/weekly. It might be better to spread out the submissions, but in instances like that if you don't provide the content up front for them they might loose interest in promoting you.

What is the url for your site?

We have a pretty open door policy. But if I see your user name popping up like you're a surfer, logging in every other day I'll kill it.

But if they are a good affiliate give them whatever they need.

no, mainly because we have non-exclusive content and only a certain percentage can be used for affiliates use. That's why we provide free content for affiliates. We only do so with content we've licensed for that use

We provide access to affiliates that made few sales or we know them personally. However we have some rules, as not to use last 2 months of updates in building affiliates galleries and more.

Im an affiliate... I send joins, but not nessecreally thousands...
However when I begin to promote a new site, I usually ask for access before I proceed.

Even though I haven't already sent traffic to them, Ive yet to be refused admission for a day or so... Plus I only ever ask for 24 hours access...

I really have no interest in the site from a 'cor yeah... lets jack off to the content' viewpoint... But if I'm gonna be selling something, I expect to know what it is Im selling...

If they said no, would I still promote them ? Dunno... Hasn't happened yet, Ive always been let in... But to be honest, Ive never really given it much though... Probably because I know Im legit... So the access doesn't really seem that much of a big deal...
