I am concerned about what this degrads the value of your content, if you allow your affiliates have access to your site, and the content is spread around more on the net, compared to the content that you have setout in your affiliate program.

Does this lower the value of your subscription to the customer?

Would you take the same approach to amateur sites, where they don't shoot as much content as big sites?
It really depends on your market share/growth. If you depend on affiliates for traffic and sales, then of course you will need to make sure you have what they need to sell. Also how hungry you are for people to promote your product. If you're doing fine, then you can be more selective to who is allowed access to your content for promotion. There have been plenty of companies that get hard up for promotion and try to give everything out to everyone.

If it's a smaller amateur/solo style site, it depends on your content, the niche, the exclusivity (rareness) of it. Content quantity generally isn't as much of a factor, but the lacking of variety in solo sites can be an issue for submitters. But it all falls back to the type of promotion the affiliate does and the use for the content. If it's a submitter, they need to have fresh content to send out daily/weekly. It might be better to spread out the submissions, but in instances like that if you don't provide the content up front for them they might loose interest in promoting you.

What is the url for your site?
