I have been starting to work out after work and I am showering before I go... Granted it is like a Playmate reunion at my gym but I have never said hi to anyone there so not sure why I am doing this?

Edit - I do live in a very clean country personal hygeine is nuts here and I can tell i am not alone as the women clearly dress for the gym.

That's rough. I don't worry about how I look since I am not there to impress anyone. Try going later unless you're actually going there to meet women. Personally I go there to get in better shape. Around here if I go later in the evening it's almost all meatheads over in the corner doing curls in front of the mirrors.

My gym is like that to a certain extent too. I say screw it. I go to the gym for myself, I am not out to impress anyone or make any friends there. Besides, why would you want to meet a sexy lady under false pretences?

I always shower before. It's not so much to look good (as I just throw on shorts, a cutoff and a hat) as it is to not smell bad while sweating. Nothing is more embarrassing than oozing funk that everybody knows is coming from you.

I stopped lifting weights, and do alot of grappling. If my training partner smells like shit, I stop training with them and tell them they need to take a fucking shower.

I always hated the smelly fuck who came to the gym. I really enjoy you leaving your odor and stank sweat on all the gym equipment. Thanks alot.

I shower before I go to the gym and I always put on a little lip gloss. I'm not there to meet anyone, but I always care about how I look. Just because you're working out doesn't mean you have to look (and smell) disheveled and homeless.

Yeah I shower for the gym but not specifically. Just I run in the morning, and obviously have to shower after that .. So when I hit the gym in the afternoon, already clean.

When I did hit the gym in my twenties I would not even worry about the chicks in the gym... I worked on improving myself and getting a great work out. Then they would come to me and ask me what is up. This is because I was the only one in the gym not hitting on them...

Also works at the bar. You basically pay the chicks no attention. At all. Then they wonder what in the fuck is going on... Every guy in the place is looking at them and so you stand out...

i put on bronzer + gel my hair real nicely and slap on a tight tank top when i had the gym. Oh and i never leave home with out my trusted jersey goggles

going to the gym to conversate or look nice is a waste of time and energy. Everybody at the gym is there for one reason, get a work out and bounce. Im in and out in 1-2hours.

Hehe i agree with you on that one tho, no one likes having "that guy" in the gym. Everywhere he goes, everyone else is on the other side of the gym.
I guess depends on what you did all day before you went to the gym or to grapple. Usually im sitting in class not working up a sweat before i hit the gym so its not a real problem.
