i don't like this type of porn flick but it looks really high quality and there's a good market for it off the Net. What was the budget on the movie? Looks expensive.

The best adult video directors, for features anyway, were/are photographers first - they understand the basics of lighting, framing a shot and working with models - so I'm not surprised you're developing into a quality video director.

Max, nice stuff, but I would have a couple of things to say:

Many of these scenes seem to suffer from the "looks like video trying to be film and failing" look. Compared to film, video has very, very little latitude, so the whitest white and the darkest dark are often only 1 or 2 stops apart. As a result, when you use aggresive lighting techniques, you will often end up with areas that are completely blown out and areas that are also too dark. The shot about half way through with them all in the living room is like that, very very obviously video.

You may find that a product like magic bullet might help at least a little bit to get rid of that edge, but usually when it is filmed that way, it is very hard to get rid of it afterwards.

Also, for a trailer, I found this VERY long indeed. Typically you would be looking for 1 minute, maybe 90 seconds... this seemed to be much longer than that.

Finally, I found that the sound on most of the voices was lacking. Sounded like it was recorded with the on-camera microphones rather than with a boom operator. That great affects what the perceived end quality is.

In porn movie terms, you are doing fine. But those few things could really make a difference in how the end product would be perceived, IMHO.

This is going to be the wave of the future. In the next five to ten years, our computers will be hooked up to our tv sets, which are getting bigger and bigger every year. (My TV is 62 inches....) The new MS OS, from what I understand, is going to be designed to run movies on your TV. The video content we are producing for internet sites currently will not cut it.

And I think the trailer I just saw is a good example of what on line porn is going to be in the near future.
