Dress up and go do a few 100 miles an hour stretch on the lake with the snowmobile.

That should do the trick ;-)

Tanker 03-09-2008 09:04 AM

I used to get on my motorcycle and ride through the desert for a few hours I called it My time! Havnt had to do that in a while although if I did I would freeze my balls off up in Toronto this time of year trying to ride my motorcylce so thats a good thing

I heard that when some people get down, they smoke a big fat bowl of dank to the face then jump into an FPS game and wrok random nubes for a few hours.

Personally, I like to mess with my stamp collection. :upsidedow

dude, that sounds fun as hell!

anyone ever fall in the lake doing that? or is it one of those areas where the ice is so thick that semi-trucks can drive on it?

Sam Granger 03-09-2008 10:12 AM

In same situation right now.
Go out with friends, have a laugh. Try to meet new people...

Or, you get out in the fresh air (assuming you live somewhere that has it) and have time to collect your thoughts... and get a little exercise. I don't see any of that as a bad thing.

minddust 03-09-2008 12:34 PM

You can get to my place and we'll shovel the snow together:thumbsup:winkwink:

Lee 03-09-2008 12:47 PM

lhizy_05 03-09-2008 04:43 PM

i'll go out with my friends.. or listen to the music!!!

Went through this a few years ago, not an easy thing.

I'd say endorphines you get out of exercising are a big helper, also feeling proud of urself after running or going to the gym helps a lot, but u need to force yourself to go back to the gym for a few times and that's not easy.

Food I'd avoid carbs as much as possible because they have a big impact on how you feel.

Buy a brightlight and read about the lack of sun depression syndrom thing online.

Maybe you should go on the snowmobile today (given there is no snowstorm, ggghh), spend a day just for YOU and come back with enough energy to excercise and be carefull about the food. Might be enough to start going back up.

If everything fails, jump on a plane, come spend a week or two in Paris. Living with the frenchs for a whle will for sure give you a better feeling about your life, lol

And as a few other said here, I'm always online :)

And then there was LIGHT.
Set up a room with an enormous abundance of light. All lamps possible.Get in extra wires for extra lamps...every bit of light helps.
Spent at least an hour a day in this room.
Going under the sunbench everyday or going to a sunny place for a holiday can help a lot as well. Just dont stay in the hotelroom.
Light is THE answer against depression.

I went through a very difficult time in my life years back and felt pretty much paralyzed with sadness. I laid on my couch and barely move for about three weeks. Finally, a few of my friends came over, threw me in the shower, packed my bags, and took my on a week vacation. We went to roller coaster parks, spas(girl stuff), went to a few bars, and just had a great time. They didn't leave me alone to wallow in misery.

So my advice is to spend time with people you care about and do things you once enjoyed doing. Take a trip with friends or family--just take a breather from your current situation so you can regain some clarity.

klinton 03-09-2008 11:24 PM

seek for the reasons and try what others said

EuroRev_Stacey 03-09-2008 11:34 PM

i stay in my room & listen to sad songs, relate my self to the stories of the songs, stress my self and get relieved :)

Emil 03-10-2008 02:56 AM

Exercise is a great thing to do, but it can be really hard to get your ass moving if you're depressed.
Going for a swim and playing with the water slides like a kid always cheer me up.

What do you eat? If there's a shortage of zinc, potassium, B-vitamins, Omega3...... (the list is long) it can make you feel depressed.

CashGordon 03-10-2008 03:00 AM

i party hard

Feeling any better?

pornguy 03-10-2008 07:24 AM

Grab some hot tub time, hit the local mall with a friend for a walk in public, catch a game of some sort with some friends. Talk about old times that were good, and not work related.

NikKay 03-10-2008 08:17 AM

Sounds like a lazy worthless shrink to me.

So I said 'well?' - he handed me a business card - I said 'what the hell is this?' - I was so freaked out I couldn't really even read the card - he said 'it's BlahBlah - group home for mentally challenged adults'. His point was to go outside myself and help somebody else, work that will give you some self worth and feel good about - I did do it for awhile but I can't say it really helped me with why I went to the shrink. I bet it does work for some people.

kowalsky 03-10-2008 08:38 AM

I go out to spend some money on stupid things.

GAMEFINEST 03-10-2008 08:45 AM

Appreciate better things in life, trust me, there are many people who live in much shitty conditions than any of us and get a pet

I like the pet idea as long as the person is committed to taking care of it. I know a guy who got a dog b/c he was lonely and then took him to the humane shelter six months later. I hate that.

Otherwise, great advice!:-))

If you want to visit a sunny place, you know you are always welcome to stay with us in Costa Rica:winkwink:

Although I rarely get depressed---as far as I am concerned, not much in life is truly worth my becoming depressed about/over:

- I head for the mountains and go telemarking (skiing), or climbing.

- If I am confined to the city, I wiggle in the earbuds, pound some sweet beats, and go for a walk.

- Also, since I am such a simple person, critters tend to make me smile, so I head to the SPCA (animal shelter).

GAMEFINEST 03-10-2008 10:04 AM

I might get a dog this summer, but yeah pets are great

BVF 03-10-2008 10:10 AM

I've said it before in this thread, but if you want to get rid of stress and depression, YOGA is the answer!...I just came back from class after a two day layoff and I feel like a new man!

Also, you make a lot of money and don't have any commitments, why in the FUCK do you still want to live in Canada? Just go somewhere else like I'm going to do in April...

BradM 03-10-2008 10:27 AM

Tell everyone on an internet forum how cool you are and how rich you are and how long you've been in the adult industry and demand everyone's respect.

That usually cheers people up.

Thank me later.

Porn Mickey 03-10-2008 11:52 AM

As Sleazy says, I'm here for sport... well, I choose sport (swimming) as anti-depression.
