What's wrong with it? If someone sends you an email wanting a reply, why should you be the one who has to jump through hoops to get that reply to them? I don't click that stupid link either. If whoever sent that email is in the business of soliciting goods or services they should be more accessible to those they are trying to make contact with.

Imagine if everyone who wanted a reply from you used spamarrest. What a pain in the ass email would be. Spamassassin does a decent job at knocking out a ton of spam and doesn't require any action by either party after it's installed.

What if someone sent you an email as a potential customer? Are you willing to lose revenue just because you don't want to reply to spamarrest emails? It only takes 2 seconds.

With that said I don't use spamarrest and manually go threwmy spam filter everyday. To ensure I don't miss any mail from clients or potential clients.

But if someone is emailing you and trying to sell something they shouldn't be using spamarrest.

I don't have customers. If I DID have customers I certainly wouldn't make them jump through hoops to get in touch with me.

and what if it ensures that you really get the mail? Spam is going crazy these days, I use spamarrest and couldnt live without it, getting about 750 spam mails + another 25-50 "good mails" per day, there would be no way in hell I would be able to do anything else than looking at mails all day, especially not if I have to give people an answer within reasonable time

I talked to dozen of people on the phone where they say they didnt get one or more mails I send, and it turned out that they where in a spam folder somewhere, with spamarrest that would have been avoided as I could simply have approved myself ont he reply I got

Like I said, spamassassin is the way to go. It requires NO extra steps from either party. It's not perfect but it does an excellent job. Maybe 10 spams a day get through to my inbox. That is a bearable number to me. I do agree that everyone who uses email needs some kind of system to deal with spam. Spamarrest makes no sense to me though.

That is what I do. So anyone I send an email too, does not have to verify when they reply.

as far as I know, several real mails could be marked as spam, it could cause you to loose important information since neither sender nor receiver would know the mail was in a spam folder

True, because failures have time to click that "reverse spamming" shit.

I clicked it once a long time ago and got spammed by it.

Fuck that!

Maybe they only spam you once or no longer do it, but once was enough.

Read that and you will inderstand :

http://www.politechbot.com/p-04457.html

On that link, spam arrest defends it's right to spam.

Next time do a little homework.

Precisely why I don't use a spam filter. Would take longer to whitelist shit than it takes to just look at the titles and delete as necessary.

Too bad you aren't smart enough to read the link that clearly
shows that the opt-out link was only inlcuded in the spam itself.
(at least at the time I fist clicked)

"Hey, open my spam and then you can opt-out!"

http://www.politechbot.com/p-04457.html

Man, why do keep doing this.

Wrong. When you prove you are not a bot by entering the word provided there is a box right there. Has been there for years.

Those are some rather shitty tactics. I won't be paying SpamArrest to do shit like this..

The link I posted suggested otherwise.

And that's not the full point. The point is that I don't support spammers.
Not the bad spammers or the "compliant" spammers.

Do as you please Rip Van Winkle, but I don't want to support it.
