Devil and Daniel Johnston - another great music documentary and you don't have to be a fan of the man's music necessarily

The Last Waltz

Deep Water

Into the Void

Riding Giants and Dogtown and Z-boys

Pumping Iron - even way back then you can see what a master politician Arnold would be...

Showing my age.....

First, F for Fake isn't a documentary, and 2nd it's Crap. No offense, the first half... I mean the first 2 hours.. great, the last half.. WTF? I feel like I was a studio exec and Orson just punk'd me.

Hearts of Darkness is a good documentary.

I say you should check out An Unreasonable Man; it completely changed my views on Ralph Nader and the Democratic Party forever and is very well presented in a non-bias, non-propaganda format (i.e. Michael Moore style)
Michael Moore non-biased, non-propaganda?

Did you watch the commentary on The Last Waltz? I love imagining Scorcese all coked up and diagramming shots like a madman. I also love that they ded the crowd Thanksgiving dinner....so weird!

I watched Confessions of superhero the other night and really enjoyed Dust to Glory last night.

Some really cool replies so far. I like hearing others peoples thoughts on documentaries.

I bookmarked this thread. First time in a while

oops, I meant unlike Michael Moore's style

Planet Earth is AMAZING, almost worth buying an HDTV and Blu-Ray player just for it.
