I lent a BBQ to a friend (worth about $1000) and it got ripped off from his apt balcony last night. Man that shit pisses me off. The theif cut the chain and everything.

I wonder, would it be legal to zap someone with a tazer that was stealing your stuff. Then maybe handcuff them to a hydro poll (removing all their cloths).

No. Not unless the state legislature has modified the law in the last few years. A repo man was shot and killed a few years ago. As I recall he was not even charged and tried. Shortly there after there was a proposal in the state legislature to modify the law, but it failed.
