Another processor not charging Visa fees
Besides GloBill, I've talked to ProBilling and they're not charging the Visa fees either.
Straight from ProBilling: " We accept most major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard and soon to be accepted, Diners Card, Discover, JCB and AmEx. We also process e-checks, that transfer funds from the user's bank account, and 900billing where a user gets billed on their phone bill. We have a 9.5% fee for credit cards, e-checks and 900 billing, and 3.8% on NETeller transfers. Our accounts get paid weekly and can get payment by USmail, FedEx, UPS, Electronic Funds Transfer (ACH), Bank wire and Airborne Express. As of October first, Epoch, Ibill and Ccbill have made a statement that Visa is incorporating some new policies including fees and registration processes for their 3rd party processing accounts. We have no reason to believe that these new policies pertain to ProBilling or our account holders. Currently we are not incorporating these policies and are not charging any registration, or annual fees. " And now Jettis comes out and says they'll re-imburse the Visa fees against the processing fees. It looks like we have options to the "screw you, pay the fees or you shouldn't be in business" mentality of the 3 stooges. |

I doubt they will be able to skip out of this problem, just like that.
I think they are all looking for a quick buck and of course they will pay the Visa fees! Look at all the new business they will get! If I switched over, they would pay that pissant Visa fee back in a day! PLUS they get my business for a good year or so, maybe forever! The smaller webmasters will get the foot up the ass no matter what. They will end up being dropped by Visa anyways. I am certain this is not that simple.

sounds to me like a company that is about to get smacked down.
Amex specifically forbids high risk internet transactions... what.. you just thought probill was so much smarter than these 3 huge multimillion dollar companies? See.. its shit like this that causes problems for the rest of us.. just follow the fucking rules as they are laid out or GO HOME and GO FUCK YOURSELF!

I haven't seen anything from VISA as of yet. Only thing I see is the big billers charging us money and the smaller ones saying they don't have too.
I am about to get the impression that its not a VISA problem but a problem the big providers have with VISA and rolling it downhill to their customers. |

I still cant see why the 3rd party procs are so special?
All they are doing is what the AVS have been doing, just better back-office software? In some cases better...... Another rung in the ladder? |

ACPay said it's not going to charge the fees either. Nor are they requiring you to have a US presence.

There are too many damn threads about this.
This is a perfect opportunity for the smaller guys to get some business and worry about the consequences later. Period. The problem with being your own merchant, opening your own merchant account, etc... is that you have to have great credit, among many other things, such as a very hefty investment, not to mention, employees, the software itself, etc... If your big enough, then you probably allready have this. If not, then you may want to consider not going this route, unless you have everything laid out like a ho on sunday! Because opening up a business like that is not a walk in the park.
