can I get away without reformating?

Changing the motherboard ,cpu and video card. Can I get away without reformating? I got a bunch of plugins from fred miranda and vasst. That I cant remember if I burned them to cd.So if I want them again I will have to buy them again. Want to save the expense if possible.

Usually goes smoothly but can cause some problems when moving between 'generations' of cpus (i.e. from single core processors to quad-core). But it's not really possible to predict it all before you try it out, so just keep your fingers crossed

Yes just add your hard drive to it, and there are software's that will fix any problem on the hard drive.

We have had the same experience. The OS will *usually* figure it out. We went from 2K to XP, from a single core to a dual core with no real problems.
